So what just happened with the sov today... Somthing like 150 systems lost sov for no apparent reason. No one took it, but just lost. Is this an effect of the new sov mechanics where if you dont use it or put I hub you lose it? Just curious how this many can lose it in one day.
You can check today's sov here..(note it auto updates so tomorrow after dt the map will change

Possible they looked at the end of month bill and laughed as they tossed it into the circluar filing cabinet.
Feature working as intended I bet

The second round of payments were due and most of the larger alliances decided to cut back on some of their space. Either that or they just forgot to pay the bills.
Either way there is a ton of space to be had. |

Its most likely just Alliances shedding systems that they decided weren't worth paying the upkeey to hold sovreignty in.
They stop paying the bill, so they lose control when it's due, which seems to happen at the same time as every other alliance.

Edited by: Batolemaeus on 30/12/2009 17:00:20 Laughing, because it was predicted. Sov was held mostly by single moon mining towers. Those will drop sov because nobody is living in there. Doesn't mean you can waltz in there though. Those cash machines will be defended just as usual. Don't think you can use that space.. ----------------------------------------------

OMG! Does anyone have a saved copy of the sov map pre-dominion? Compare the old to the new to get a good idea where the moons are being mined.

You can just fly around and see which moons are mined. Not a big deal. That and most regions have public or semi-public map dumps available. ----------------------------------------------

If your not upto date with alliance power struggles and would like to catch up a bit, is there a way to see an animation of territory control changes?
The influence map is great to see who currently has what, but it means nothing if you dont know what the previous situation was.
