No, it doesn't. The war rages on in Providence. My whole point was and is that this proclamation is a total and absolute waste of space. The small Empire skirmish (as it obviously wasn't a serious effort, which is OK but also means you shouldn't blow it out of proportion in some vain PR effort) didn't change a thing.
As I said, you know where the wardec button is... I'm sure CONCORD are waiting for your request with baited breath!

With all due respect to my fellow fighters for the cause, this is not how it works.
CONCORD wars are tools. They are (by sensible parties) declared when something can be gained from the war against a hostile, and withdrawn when no gain is in sight.
In the current tactical situation, I see very little sense for CVA to declare a war on U'K, for the simple reason that it is much easier to hurt CVA high-security assets by a war declaration than it is those of U'K. Giving U'K a long-term declaration would simply help U'K along -- and why would CVA wish to do that?
This is not a statement on the relative skill of either party, mind you -- it is a statement on what assets exist. If and when CVA declares, it can be expected of them to withdraw fairly soon. Anything else would be waste of resources, and whatever else CVA are, they are rarely stupid. (Unfortunately, I might add, but that's another topic.)
If it was sensible to declare wars because of mutual dislike or as political statements, which is what you seem to be looking for here, we would see more of them. But unfortunately for you, that is not how the universe works. People worthy of fighting declare wars on you when they feel that you 1) pose a threat, that 2) can be solved by a CONCORD-sanctioned war.

Edited by: Alica Wildfire on 08/01/2010 14:06:04 What I ask myself besides this: can Matar claim their rightful ownership to Providence by conquering a Providence system? Like invading from Assah, destroying beacon after beacon until the claim of CVA fails?
I know this might be a mere dream if you look at the numbers CVA can show up with. But numbers are not everything. Even if they have 2000 or 3000 Capsuleers, how many of them will be actually fighting if there is nothing to gain anymore?
I just humbly ask. I'd really like to see that happen. Just for the pride of Matar, not hate or anything. The space belongs to our people. We have built it up. Slaves.
Now we come for our people and claim what is rightful theirs. Is this doable? Freedom. -- FREEDOM, PUNK & AUTOCANNONS

Technically, no. But that is not the point. Point is that neither can the Amarr, and that CVA doing so and promoting Amarrian values there can be seen as a threat to freedom as such.
Hope this clarifies the issue. U'K will no doubt correct me if I have the wrong impression of their motives.

Edited by: Alica Wildfire on 08/01/2010 16:15:19 It's just that there are some things going through my mind recently. I have seen that Matari, if they join their forces, can undo the "Reclaiming" of dozens of warzone systems just in a few weeks, what was achieved by Amarr forces by over halve and a year.
I know that all Matar loyalist forces like Electus Matar and Ushra'Kahn are doing great things for the cause of freedom and that also The Star Fraction are fighting for it with all their will and strength.
During the time of beeing a Capsuleer I have seen the broken industry of Rens market going to blossom so that it is not the largest but the second largest market besides Jita. I did my share for that and for the fighting for freedom.
But I ask what will the next step be?
Such questions arise at the beginning of a new year and I ponder where my thoughts are leading. Derelik is inhabited by Matari but Amarr is claiming it belongs to the Empire. In truth it's nearer to the heart of Matar than to the heart of the Empire in people as in culture.
Will our presence there be enough? And if we achieve to dominate that Region we have three entrypoints into nulsec from there. It is a strategical key position.
But if it is not possible for us to bring the CVA on their knees only thing we can do is slow them down. But even a slow enemy reaches the gate. We have to break him.
If we have yet not the industrial power we have to strife for that. Means we have to take responsibility of our own space to prepare the strike of freedom that our people in the slavecamps of the CVA factories are waiting for.
Will that happen? Can we do that?
I just ask these questions to get a goal, a vision where Matar can go to. If we do not have a vision we will just roam and in the end the enemy will escape to the gate without a loss, just with some annoyance. I clearly state that I am looking for this. Destroy him before he reaches the gate.
A vision. A Matar vision that we all can fight for, a banner that unites us. And an enemy that is on their knees and has to drop the shock whip and let our people go.
So this is what I am trying to fight for: our freedom, our future. Not against an Empire or an alliance.
Is there a goal that can be achieved for us for the next year? Even if the CVA can not be driven from their space so easily can we destroy their moneymaking?

No, it was destroyed by a reject, because of a failed Concord regulation on alliances. CVA recently suffered this same act, but it was reversed because it violated other concord regulations. Unfortunatly this was not the case for BoB.

Just to clarify, in case I mislead someone into thinking too much, I was merely clarifying why some Minmatar loyalists think interfering with CVA's operations in Providence is necessary.
Neither Gradient nor Electus Matari has at this point any plans or intent to abandon our work in the Republic.

In high and low security space, you were involved in killing our pilots 5 times. In the same space, we were involved in killing your pilots over 50 times.
Paints quite a different picture, doesn't it?
Sounds to me like U'K should stay in high security space where they belong.

Derelik is inhabited by the Ammatar. Your idea that the Mandate is more akin to the Republic in "culture" is laughably idiotic - as are most of your ramblings, I might add.
You'll find what little kinship we felt for our tribal cousins evaporated about the time your Elders launched a surprise military assault on our worlds, our fleet, and our people.
Your observations are as inaccurate as your 'presence' in Derelik is unwelcome.

Derelik begins just three jumps from Rens and about how many dozen jumps from Amarr? If you fly through Derelik you find Stabbers, Ruptures, Tempests, but you find a few Abaddons, Vengeance or Punishers.
The Ammatar are what is left from Matari when you strip them from their culture and burn their roots. But near to the Republic their dried and thirsty roots pine for something more than what a lost slave collar can give them. They long for family for identity. And they find it at Rens and Pator.
Many of us have begun to help our brothers and sisters that were spit out from the Empire and give them a hand to reintegrate into their true culture. A culture that nurture their spirits instead of drying them up.
You see it from population you see it when you look at the security status of that region. Everything that is near the lightfire of freedom, Rens is blossoming and CONCORD maintains the peace where farther away from that warm fire of home the worlds get deserted and wild. The nearer you come to the Empire the worst get the worlds.
This is Derelik. Look at the map. Fly through it.
It's Matari, not Amarr.
And while Amarr is doing a fragg to help building up that region Matar is indeed. For Amarr this region is just a nuicance to pass by to get into the richnesses of Providence which they want to exploit. Richnesses that originally belong to us.

Listen, you blithering cur. I am not one who takes pleasure in conversing with those of your deficient nature, but I shall make this exception.
How dare you, scion of an untold lineage of peasants, tell such outright lies? Everything you have stated is false.
The Ammatar are the greatest, most civilised beings that can unfortunately be associated by origin to the uncouth, detestable morass of Minmatar organic soup. We have more culture in a mere segment of our most deprived slums than you have in your entire shameful excuse for a ærepublicÆ.
Derelik, the Ammatar mandate, is not tribal. It is blessed to be under the inspired guidance of Lord Ardishapur. Your post reeks of professional ignorance towards our true state of affairs.
You are less than the dust under our boots. To suggest that we long for the attributes of your kind is an affront to our sensibilities.

There is no culture that can be given by Amarr to a Matari. What did generations of slavery do to many of our brothers in the Mandate? Some of them are the worst slavers of all.
They are without direction and orientation and are caught with their never surrendering Matari soul that is muffled and suffocated by Amarr lies and anti-culture, suffering of depression and feeling of inferiority.
But I can see that you, Scagga Laebetrovo, have not forgotten the barbaric values that were taught to your blood by anchestry: pride and honour.
Of cause you are defending your bloodline and you are proud of your... culture? Your culture? You should be proud of your culture but the years under the Amarrian whip distorted the memory of you and the other lost Matari in the mandate which your culture is. Truely is.
It is not the culture of rubbing your knees on the stony floor of an Amarrian cathedral and beg for remission of beeing Matari and no True Amarrian. It's the pride heart of Matar that beating under each chest. A heart that longs for their identity, that is lost in the labyrithe of Amarrian lies.
There is no shame in this. You suffered. To be confused now is quite natural. And we can forgive this. We come for our people and this means we are coming to bring you back home.
And we will give you a helping hand with that. Pride honour and culture. Searching for identity. We have what you long for, Ammatar and we are willing to share it with you.
My standing with the Mandate is repaired now, that suffered under the war. It is a war of culture a war against the Empire. A war against slavery. But not a war against our kind.
And for this we give a hand. There are hounds that are beaten up so badly that they bite the hand that is feeding them. But this hand can forgive. And embrace.
We are coming. Rejoice, Ammatar. Brothers, sisters. You are coming home. -- FREEDOM, PUNK & AUTOCANNONS
