A delayed game is eventually good. A bad game is always bad.
Fix it now before it launches and it would be an overall better experience than if they released it with the bugs and people whined. |

Rather see dam patch delayed even for a month than get something else to put on top of Inventory anger.
Excellent job and choice from CCP, I can wait to have a good patch. I can not waste time for bad patches, so let them take as much time as needed to provide us something we are happy with and they are happy with. brb |

"EVE Online: Inferno 1.1 to be deployed on Monday, June 25 reported by CCP Navigator | 2012-06-22T03:27:00Z
We will deploy Inferno 1.1 during an extended downtime on Monday, June 25. Downtime will begin at 11:00 UTC and is expected to be completed by 12:00 UTC. This release will bring players Minmatar V3 on all sub capital ship models, iteration to Factional Warfare and War Declarations,a new Drake model, further work on the Unified Inventory and much more. Full details can be found in our patch notes and feature pages.
We had hoped to deploy the release during this week, however, our quality assurance discovered a number of issues which we did not wish to deploy with. As such, we delayed the release in order to bring you a more polished product. We are sorry for this delay and hope you all enjoy the content released next week."

Used in context, the ironic part of QA putting a hold on the Inferno 1.1 code and asset migration to Tranquility is that most every other patch w/in recent EVE history has been released regardless of the perceived quality, the show-stopping bugs and challenged designs that have been documented in great detail by your customers on Sisi.
I hope that clarifies things.

This is interesting math you apply there. I suggest you read the official news. Inferno 1.1 will eventually become delayed for 6 days, which is less than one week. I don't see the desync fix on the patchnotes :'( What "the desync fix"? There is a bug, which was addressed a few times in the issues & workaround subforum afaik. It's when you jump a fleet through gates or via titan bridges and the nothing loads (overview, space objects etc.), but we can still continue chatting. It was my impression that the fix would be included on the Inferno 1.1 patch. Bug report number would help him check. There is an issue i had with the last mass test where one client graphics rendering got looped during the pos pash and while the ship warped to the gate and then to the station but the client did not show it.
CCP does not have a solid repro for it.
I reset my sisi client to fix a UI bug that only got cleaned up when i reupdated. So there might be a code change that does not update for some reason that might be causeing it. |

The funny part is highlighted. Please elaborate.

Is the marker button in Theme X now the color #3300FF instead of #3300CC ?
Or something similarly minute and inconsequential to keep you ******** monkeys entertained?

If it just happend do a internal bug report on it and post it on this thread Yes, like i said, this issue is very common (people have perceived this as a thing to be expected everytime we're doing big fleet bridges and jumping through gates) and since this problem has been there for quite some time and have been addressed numerous times as an issue (and most likely petitioned) but have never seen any fixes directly related to this. Some if not most people who experienced this might have stopped reporting the problem.
Salpun wrote:They tryed to fix it by fixing the clock, if it has another root cause then it needs to be looked at again. Well it should be, since i don't know about the others, but it seems to me that this one should have been a priority fix since it's directly related to player's experience and gameplay mechanics. CCP Explorer wrote:*snip*I forwarded this internally. Bug #123807
This defect report was associated with the local clock issue that cropped up in December 2011 and ran for a couple of months.
I re-opened the defect report with a May 1st update as I experienced the exact same client behavior as what was experienced back in Dec 2011. This defect is a show-stopper for my game play as it is highly dangerous to fly with [any size] fleets due to a complete lack of client responsiveness during critical moments such as jumping a gate or using a titan bridge.
Put another way, this defect effectively kept my high-skilled toon out of fleets and bonus-giving positions. It was too risky to either fly an expensive ship or sit in a bonus-giving fleet slot as I'd lose the ship due to thee lack of client-server response or fleet bonuses would be foobar'd.
If this defect is still present in the EVE service (per the space pilot's comments above), then that is troubling and is yet another reason to keep a couple of acounts inactive. That is unfortunate as I'd much rather be in fleets and having fun with mates. 284 Characters 284 Characters 284 Characters 284 Characters 284 Characters 284 Characters 284 Characters 284 Characters 284 Characters 284 Characters 284 Characters 284 Characters 284 Characters 284 Characters 284 Characters 284 Characters 284 Characters 284 Characters 284286 |

Also, your face made me lol. given the recent exploiting, maybe theyll start Q&Aing their stuff? (no thats not a rumor) The recent exploits are due to a design flaw rather than a defect. While a QA project team member might pick up on the design problem at some point during the project life cycle (or when generating use cases for testing), the entire team is responsible for catching these types of design flaws.
Remember back when Tyrannis was released and everybody started reprocessing PI-derived goods to make super cheap towers? That is another great example of a design flaw let loose into the "sand box" which should have been caught by the Tyrannis project team. 284 Characters 284 Characters 284 Characters 284 Characters 284 Characters 284 Characters 284 Characters 284 Characters 284 Characters 284 Characters 284 Characters 284 Characters 284 Characters 284 Characters 284 Characters 284 Characters 284 Characters 284 Characters 284286 |
