I saw this proposed ages ago and now Ive started salvaging I would really like it!! I target five wrecks and tractor beam them toward me, then i unlock them and target 5 more and beam them in while my alt starts salvaging. So can i plz ctrl click the target that i currently have locked to unlock it?? please ccp?? Would other ppl find this a handy feature? |

I would have found it useful if i never realized that you can click the icons on the targets to disengage the module so no guessing as to which F-button to press. ------------------------------------

Nice Simple Effective UI Change.
Ctrl+Click on Locked target, unlocks the Target, heck I would love to see a Ctrl+Click on a Locking Target cancelling the Lock Request.
My Mission Runner does not want to target a wreck whilst there are still rats flying about :P

make it ctrl+shift+click or ctrl+right click so you dont accidently unlock again. (especially in larger fights)

I wouldn't mind at all if some other combo was made to unlock targets again, but this is a bad idea.
When either warping to a hostile or having a hostile warp to you, there is some time from the point when he apears on your overview and the time he actually has slowed down enough be locked. During this time, tacklers (and other people, but tacklers get affected the most) will be holding ctrl and spam left clicking on the target so that the locking start as soon as it becomes lockable, and each time you try, a lock on timer appears for a second or 2 before it goes away again, so you often don't have time to realize that it's locking for real until you actually establish the lock if you have any even half decent scan res. If ctr+left clicking again unlocks the target, that tackler may not be able to react to the fact that he actually has a lock now fast enough to stop himself from ctrl+left clicking again and actually unlocking the target, giving it a chance to warp out before he can lock again to tackle. Same thing happens when sitting on a gate and you know a target just jumped in, but have not decloaked yet: You press control and spam left click where the person will appear in the overview.
This is exactly the reason why I never use the "lock" button in the selected items box, despite the fact that ctrl+left click spam can mess up aligns and make you start moving towards the person even if you don't want to.
