can we plz get something interesting to do in eve. im so bloody tired of doing the same bloody stuff over and over again. i have tried everything now and in moderation its ok but repeating it over and over again is just boring. cant we get something new to do none profit orientated. ccp goes on and on about exploration but its just a load of rubbish. every exploration is just a repeat or an advance on another game feature. why cant we have some exploration just for the sake of exploring.
we all know that eve space is god awfull when it comes to sites of interest, accuracy or even just looking good. why cant we scan down sites of interest. sites which are not profit or combat orientated and are mainly there for site seing. 1 ssuch site off the top of my head could be dence nebulas filling up a whole grid with pockets hidden inside and narrow channels for close up navigation. maybe even deadly if you stray into their gassy makup or use too large a ship. just anything really that takes exploring bk to its cautious high risk low reward fun just for the challange and none of this click and warp/ab to target or right click look at target rubbish.

Can you tell me what sites you have explored then, because I am planning a trip around the Eve universe and currently have a list of things to see.
I was wondering what ones you have already done to see if I am missing anything.

Did they improve on the same daily stuff that you get to do every day with the same raid content every week? No? Well, good luck with that. |

Edited by: Captain Mastiff on 06/01/2010 14:41:43 Edited by: Captain Mastiff on 06/01/2010 14:40:54 I think a Nebulae would be a bit too much big to recreate in Eve though I like the idea.
I assume your post came across to everyone else as a whine as well as mine. However I quite agree, not all games should be about making money or killing someone, I would quite like to see non money motivated activities. Perhaps some exploration missions which are one time to avoid the horrific repetition that we all know and do that is Eve.
A mission to fly into a cosmic anomaly and explore to find the centre for scientific research etc, obviously being a mission it would have some sense of profit but since its a one time mission it wouldn't be farm able.
Something different to the Kill all these pirates who for some reason sit here whilst their friends only 20km are getting shredded only to retaliate later to your actions. Or the drop these 40 colossal containers 5 jumps away.

You can't use an "insult" like that when it also insults Eve just as easily.

I honestly don't understand the problem here. All MMO's have their grind, so does Eve. But Eve also offers a lot more, especially if you decide to venture out from Empire. This really is one of the very few MMO's (if not the only one) where the game is what YOU make of it. I also think you'll be bored very quickly after having visited or "explored" a couple of those dangerous nebulae you mentioned. Imagine losing your ship (you know, the one you worked so hard for and spent month saving isk?) to one of those high-risk low-reward places?

That was the point, wasn't it? That WoW is no better.. That in fact pretty much every game on the market becomes repetitive, sooner or later.
But you chose to interpret it as a personal "insult"? I can only assume that you're either a child, or an adult with the mental capacity of a turd.

While it is true in a sense, EVE still offers more to the player to do on a daily basis. It is however up to you if you want to do what is offered whereas in WoW, it's essential to your toon' progress. |

i could loose a ship anytime. the difference is im doing this for pure fun and exploration off something that takes time and skill to do, not trained skill but pilot skill. no clicking/warping to. just me, a frigate or something im comfortabvle in zoomed in so im right up the arse of the thing navigating by sight and manipulating my speed and direction manually. knowing that anything i see in this nebula for instance is a rare sight which only a few skilled pilots have ever seen due to its difficulty. so dangerous that if you loose your ship it is lost forever. even poddable. its about seeing something without money or skills getting in the way.

it's probably still far off, but ain't the devs at CCp plan on adding things like coming out of your ships and actually flying in a planet's atmosphere? then another game altogether that ties in with EVE called DUST 524 that is a FPS? these things take time more stuff will come just be patient. if your bored you could try making a massive fleet battle if you get enuf people together have you tried that?
(lol if you do, could you post it on youtube so i can see? lol it'll be a while before i'm able to get good ships.)

I strongly suggest you find a nullsec corp to join, and you will quickly find that Eve is a lot more than the grind you think it is... Also, have you ever tried Flight Simulator?

Seems that you are bored because you aren't opening your eyes to the possibilities.
Have you done the following
Managed a POS chain Invented anything Large scale trading Pirated Suicide ganked Mined in hi sec mined in low sec mined in null sec Led a medium fleet hunting pirates led a large fleet hunting pirates organized hi sec wars led a large 0.0 sec alliance or been part of the leadership scammed someone
These are only a very few basic ones, but im interested to knwo which other things you have tried and found "ok in moderation"

RL is that way -->
EVE is a game, not life.
And if you got no imagination to entertain yourself with the tools in EVE, it might be time to pack the bags, or go on a vacation. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Why would a nullsec corp help his boredom? I don't think the OP is interested in moons, DDs, or bombing runs.
But ya, I personally would like to see these non-profit, non-repeat exploration sites... hell, i want exploration to be harder. I want my probes to disappear from the scanner overview because i had the misfortune to warp them on top of a black hole. I want an extremely low chance of losing my ship because it happened to be in the way of a pulsar beam (As long as I get to see the spinning pulsar I'd be happy). I want nebulas that disable propulsion mods, warp drives and do low but constant EM damage.
Stuff like that.

your missing the point. i have done prety much all off what you listed but what you suggest is upscale to something bigger. in my eyes and experience pvp is always pvp. mining is always mining, missions always the same. doesnt make a large difference to how good that content is just by upscaling. sure they are all good ideas but are all based on the same principles. i either kill or be killed or make money. what do you do when you have killed your share of pirates or mined your braines out etc. you suggest to me to do more of the same. im talking about the option to do something nothing to do with the above

It's a differing slant on things, not just an upscale. Requires different skillset ingame and mentally.
Your asking for the game to develop into soemthign that it just plain isn't.

Yeah, and what's with real life? I mean that's pretty boring too. You do the same **** every day. I mean, it might not be the exact same, but like, you get up, eat, go to work, go home, eat, and watch TV or play games, which are basically the same too, because you're just sitting there getting entertained, and then you go to sleep. And you do the same thing every day, except some days you don't have the work part.
Can CCP fix this too??????????????????????????

is that ur answer to every post. i never said i didnt like eve i just said its not enougth to just mine or blow stuff up. should i take my subs to startrek or wow or some other game just because of that. no i dont think so. sure im only 1 person but if this is you answer to everyone that wants a change which enhances their game experience then eve is doomed. "bigger picture".. this is something which your small mind cant understand. comments like the above are just stupid and unconstructive. where other games branch out into other areas and directions to enhance and give variety, eve sticks to the same things fixing the unbroken, adding more content were none is needed.

Edited by: Bicx on 06/01/2010 16:39:24 This game can't be everything for everybody. Obviously, there are more than enough people supporting the main features to make Eve profitable. If you count up the number of people whining about Eve on the forums and compare them to the number of subscribers, I'm sure that you will find them to be a fraction of 1% of subscribers. I say again: the game's not made for everyone.
