Hello,
I'm soon getting the last standing to start the Gallente epic arc, I'm very casual, so it has taken some time. Anyway, I've read through the EVE-wiki to see what kind of challenges I'm to encounter, to be prepared. Looks good except for part IV in the first chapter named "Assistance". (Source: http://wiki.eveonline.com/wiki/Syndication).
Apparently you land on top of 12 BS's 12 cruisers, and 8 warpscram'ing/webbing frigates which autoaggro almost instant. How are you supposed to survive that? If they scram you, can't warp in time, if they web, can't speed tank, and I hear DPS is enormous.
I would guess you'd need a friend to assist you or likely, but I'll be very appreciated if anybody could assist me with some information and tips if you've done the arc alrady.
Thanks

You're playing an MMO
Unless you are flying a Faction/Officer fit Marauder, find someone to RR. Most people will read this thinking it's part of my post, when its actually my sig :P

I had no idea, thank you for clearing this information up for me, it has helped beyond any expectations.
Now is there anybody who has some information on how exactly you did this? I'm aware assistance of a friend would be a clear choice, but any tips and how you did it would be much appreciated.

[Please tell me were you read that the frigs scramble ?
Spawn 1 (12km, auto aggro)
6 Cruisers (The Pator 6) 7 Frigates (Mercenary Wingman (web), Mercenary Elite Fighter) Immediately after first set shows up. Spawn 2 (10km, auto aggro)
13 Battleships (Mercenary Overlord)
Have fun

Is this the one just after "A Different Kind of Director"? if so then yes, it is very tough. I managed to solo it in a faction fit Ishtar, but I would not recommend attempting it solo in a battleship hull.
If you feel this one is tough, wait till you hit the final decision tree and go up against multiple "elite" battleships. Removed. Please keep your EVE signature related to your EVE persona and not that of a real life politician. Navigator |

When I did these before Dominion, you could warp in and place bookmarks and warp in range to those bookmarks, using a shuttle I bounced off a nearby moons and made place for me to snipe, and my Oneiros helping friend repped my t2 domi after warping in at range from me. The Oneiros will take aggro from time to time, but warping out and back in is fine. Just make sure to omni tank as Intaki / Pator 6 do different damage types, and having RR you dont need to worry about repping unless they have had to warp out for a sec.
Elite BS are / can be Sleeper AS and will bug out also at 250km ;) Most people will read this thinking it's part of my post, when its actually my sig :P

Edited by: Forge Lag on 08/01/2010 00:45:11 Did it all in unprobable Loki (aka with wasted slots), T2 fit except DG LSB.
If you feel it's overhelming, you can always buffer tank your ship, kill some and warp out.
Edit: Would not do again, L4s are comparable if not better reward and much less risky. Also could not care less about some kid, as I routinely kill by hundreds.

I did it with a Dominix and an Ishtar without any remote repping. ...this doesn't even seem to be a regular case of rats fleeing the sinking ship. Seems more like the rats are on fire, the ship is on fire, and the sea is full of drunk Russians. - Jacob Etienne |
