Hi,
here are several things :
# LOCK WINDOWS : I know that it is possible to lock windows, but doing that, I have to use "pin", then there's a transparency with the window... Please think about creating a way to lock windows without having the "pin effect".
# DRONES' HP : When will we be able to see drones' HPs when they are in the drone bay, as we do when they're in space ?
# COMPARE TOOL : I was wondering why it is only possible to add in the "compare tool" items that have variations, and why the "compare" button is only available in the "variations" tab...? It is very usefull to compare items that are not variations one of another. And because of that system, it is impossible to compare items that have no variations ! It could be very usefull to add a command "add to compare tool" for each existing item. For example, to compare a Gallente ship with a Caldari ship, I have to show info, go on variations tab, and compare, and do it for both. Then, to have a clearer view, I have to remove the variations and only keep the two ships that I need to compare ! If I miss a command, please tell me how can I do it easier, if not please try to add it.
# OPTIONNAL ON-SHIP BOX : When you click on "look at" another item than your ship, there is a box that appears around your ship. To me, it's very usefull to see where you ship is without having to look at another ship. I know the camera is centered on it, but still, when zoomed out, it helps a lot to have a box (or something else) around your ship to better see where it is.
Can't you add an option, to add a box around your ship even when you don't look at another ship ?
# THOUGHT ABOUT BALANCING BATTLECRUISERS : Battlecruiser is one of the most used ship.
I think that Gallente aren't favored because their two battlecruisers have got a bonus to active tank (bonus to armor repair), whereas every other race don't (compared to Caldari, it's really not balanced : indeed, you can use a passive bonus to create a better active tank, but you can't use an active bonus to create a good passive tank fitting). Could you imagine to change the bonuses of one of the two Gallente Battlecruisers? I think the "spirit" of the Myrmidon (active armor tank, with strong drones) is good like that as a Gallente Battlecruiser. But the Brutix... with an armor repair? It should be way better and balanced to create a Brutix that would look like the Prophecy (with a passive tank bonus, or at least something for Hybrid Weapons). Try to think about it please.
Then, as the Brutix is a Tier1 Battlecruiser, it has a variation for two command ships, that get, as a consequence, this bonus (armor repair bonus). So it would also balance the command ships.
Or maybe you're trying to make 2 kinds of command ship (Amarr/Caldari with passive tank, and Gallente/Minmatar with active tank). Then maybe you could think about changing Myrmidon for a Tier1 BC (and change its HP) and Brutix for a Tier2 BC (and change its HP, and his bonuses), keeping the "spirit" of the Myrmidon for both the Tier1 BC and his variation, the command ship, that would then become an active armor tanked ship helped with strong drones.
Just an idea to improve the balance between all the BattleCruisers that are very used in the game...
# OTHER WAY TO MOVE/ALIGN YOUR SHIP : Except using the target window (selected item window with align/warp and approach/orbit/keep-at-range) the only way to move your ship is to double clic in space which, to me, isn't very accurate and sometimes easy (because of double-clic issues). Can't you add an option to add this way to move : when you hold left mouse button, you can look around your ship (with your ship as a center), then use a single right mouse button clic to move in the direction you look (instead of having the zoom while holding left and right mouse buttons). And do the same reversed option : while you hold the right mouse button, you can look around (with where the camera is as a center), then use a single left mouse button clic in the direction you look.
# A WAY TO ADJUST THE MOUSE SENSITIVITY : What to say... every game (even the worst) has got an option to adjust the mouse sensitivity. Is it pathetic that EVE doesn't have it ? Yes, it is. Can't you add some options to adjust the mouse sensitivity when docked, in space, and when in space while holding left or right mouse button (for the same accuracy issue with the point above, to look around, for the use of the directionnal scan, to move/align your ship) please ?
Maybe you should think about improving EVE's interface before graphics... There is so so so much to do !
Thanks, Best regards.

Hi, another idea to bump this thread.
#8# IMPROVED WATCH LIST : Please think about adding two options to the watchlist :
In overview settings, in the appearance tab, then colortag, add a line with "Pilot is in your watchlist" with a customizable color. As it, once in fleet, it's easier to see where the pilots you added to watchlist are. (or add it in a new watchlist settings menu)
In watchlist settings, add a way to tick a line named "Always show watchlist brackets", as it, in big fleet when there's lag and you need to "Hide all brackets" to reduce lag, by ticking this option you'll be able to still see the important pilots that you added in your watchlist. Added with the #4 point with an on-ship box, when lagging a lot you don't have to zoom in to try to see what's happening : you can stay quite zoomed out while you can still see the brackets of the pilots in your watchlist, the bracket of your own ship, and the broadcasts.
Thanks, Best regards. |

Supported, +1
Also, make interface scale up with increasing resolution.
Monitors got bigger since 2003. I've had it putting up with either trying to read micro-fonts, or using below native low resolution that the monitor can't display without gaussing. |

#8# EMPLOYMENT HISTORY : Could you just add the time spent in each corporation visited? For example : Corporation X from 2011.02.01 00:00 to 2011.03.01 00:00 (0y 1m 0d 0h 0m). |

1 stop self bumping with no new content. That's a quick way to get a thread lock around here.
2. some of these ideas need to migrate out of here, they desever entire threads of thier own IE battlecruiser balancing.
I do realize you do format your posts but its a still bit hard to read. Try using list function and breaking your ideas down further into bullet points.

I fully support the proposed UI improvements. Especially #2, #4 and #6 are interesting, they bug me for years! |

#6# OTHER WAY TO MOVE/ALIGN YOUR SHIP
+ 1
a good start would be to make mouse buttons configurable. I would already be happy if i could move the ship with single click and map cam rotation to the rmb.
but yep, ccp should streamline ship controls You fail you fail you fail you fail you fail you fail you fail to jump because you are cloaked |

Thank you for those advices, I created a dedicated thread for each point I posted here (with the link of the new dedicated thread on the title of each point on this post). |

I replied to your thread about drones, but want to restate the issue everywhere i can.
They definately need to show the health bars of indivisual drones, while they are in drone bay. and they shouldnt make us wait months for the edit. why can they not see this is a minor issue and just fix it on the next update? or am i wrong and this would be to troublesome to fix? |

Christmas UP
Yes EVE is more beautiful than ever with Crucible, most aspects of the game have been balanced, and we have new ships... But, the interface is still pathetic for such a game. That's the reason of this UP. Those things are very simple to do (let me put a box on my ship please!) and are highly demanded by the community, so please act. |
