Having just spent the better part of 4 weeks repairing my Caldari Standings, i would like to humbly request that data center missions be made repeatable; even if the standings gain was toned down a little, it would be of great benefit and i cannot see the downside.

agreed. Its dumb to make it a one-time content.
Make it repeatable

The idea propably is, that you can't just buy higher standings and are forced to sweat to repair bad standings. That said, I don't like their one time nature either. You career in EVE can be very, very long, so some kind of cooldown timer, similar to epic mission arcs, for such agents would be more approriate.

Maybe standings should slowly decay?

If it took you 4 weeks to repair standings with ANY empire faction you were doing something horribly wrong.
I strongly suggest improving your social skills and the use of couriers. Sure, social skills are not sexy and require you to put your current skill plan on hold. Also, couriers are perhaps the most boring thing to do in Eve. That being said, combined they are time and isk savers when it comes to faction gains.
I rather like the system as it is now. Although there is precious little benefit to having high faction standings, there are devastating penalties for letting them drop too low. This regulates player behavior and creates consequences for choices made.
It should not be easy to buy your standings back. Consider the one time use of data center missions a gift. I am sure many pirates out there would favor a data center to repair security, even if could only be used once.

Lol you must be new to how low standings can get bro. Plus, you didn't add any value except the same old statist 'its fine as it is' attitude. Leave it out already son, the fella is just posting an idea.
