Pator, Kulheim RSS, 112/01/09, for immediate release.

Electus Matari corporations are withdrawing from the Minmatar Militia after a successful campaign. The campaign ends slightly short of original plans, with campaign goals accomplished.
Our brothers and sisters in the Militia, we thank you for this chance to fly by your side. This has been a time of glory, and we are grateful for having been able to share that with you. Many old ties were renewed and new ones forged.
During our weeks in the Militia, Gradient won the Militia Plexers' Prize three times. We have decided to use the prize money to provide to the friendly Militia free Rifters with complete fittings for complex work. These ships are ready and available in the warzone; kindly contact any member of the corporation if you wish to receive one. First come, first served, as long as isk remains.
The alliance has unfinished business with certain less respectable elements in the Militia. This will be taken care of regardless of the campaign ending.

Electus Matari is an alliance of independent corporations, loyal to the Minmatar Republic, and dedicated to her support and defense.
This current campaign started on 111/12/10 as a response to a large number of systems in Metropolis falling into enemy hands. At its start, nineteen Republic systems were occupied by hostile forces; at its end, none remain in Amarrian control. The campaign culminated in the end of the 382 days of Lantorn under Amarrian occupation.
Never again. -- Help us defend the Republic; join Gradient today. |

I am honored to fly with all of you.

I can only say it's been an honour and pleasure to fly alongside the EM pilots during the recent campaign.
Their dedication, organization and fine fleet commanders no doubt played a great part in the recent victories.
For the Republic!

So in the space of a month a couple of EM corporations have not only prevented the complete overun of Republic systems but taken the fight deep behind enemy lines. I wait with baited breath as to what the thousands of other pilots in the militia will achieve in your absence.
Congratulations EM. As ever I am honoured and priveleged to have flown with you.

I do not think this reflects the situation, really.
The establishment of the buffer zone in Amarr space was done mostly without our help, spearheaded and executed by long-time militia corporations.
The liberation of Siseide and Lantorn would have been absolutely impossible without the impressive help and preparation from our militia.
And even the initial campaign in Metropolis looks in retrospect more impressive than it was. Initially, we only managed to slow down the Caldari incursion, not to stop it. I do not think we would be even close to where we are today if they had not decided, on their own, that the fight in their home was more important than the fight in Metropolis.
On the other hand, the Amarr Militia was on a downswing already before we joined. A few key corporations left, and would have left regardless of our presence.
It would be silly to say we were not effective. But we were by far not the only factor in the recent campaign success. In the end, we were just in the right place at the right time.
But it feels good having been in the right place at the right time.

This campaign has concluded, and all Amarr-loyal forces must take note.
The Amarr Unity of YR105-106 was built specifically to counter the rise of two sides of Matari solidarity, those of the Ushra'Khan, and those of the Electus Matari. Though never truly side-by-side, the rise of these forces prompted the establishment and growth of a once unstoppable Amarrian power-sphere.
One of these forces fought brightly and overtly, crushed into a new role, one of mere loud harassment, while the other built themselves quietly over years into a force that in this campaign showed it's threatening potential to the entire Imperial Cause.
Let the Old Guards of the Amarr Unity take note.
Curatores Veritatis! Fulfill your founding principals! Aegis Miltia! Rise to retake your birthright as reclaimers!
Electus Matari has shown you in mere weeks what you could do for the Empire, were there truly strength left in the Old Unity.
Whether that strength any longer exists is yet to be seen, a choice that lies in the hands of a new generation, and theirs alone.

My gratitude to Electus Matari for all they have done. Their assistance during a dark period where Caldari incursions drove the Minmatar militia to the brink of ruin was overturned in no small part by the persistence and dedication of their pilots. I know they have been keen for a very long time to assist the militia more but were prevented by the legal restrictions placed on entire alliances supporting militias directly. I'm just thankful they were able to make the necessary sacrifices to help us out when it mattered the most.
To those who might imagine that without Electus Matari the Minmatar militia will collapse into disorder you should be aware that Electus Matari never imposed themselves upon us, only assisted where needed. So be assured that our overall combat effectiveness is in no way diminished by their absence.

I'd like to thank all of you for your kind words now, and for working with us over the last weeks. And as usual I have to agree with Arkady; we stepped up, and the timing was right for someone to do so, but it would have been all for naught if the militia hadn't followed, and then surpassed us. I won't even try to name all the militia members or even corporations I personally have seen contributing to the effort; you know who you are and I'm proud that we could help.

I am impressed you would acknowledge this. Yes, Caldari task force left quickly and without much fanfare when order was given out. Capital ships cynoed across vast distances and loaded State Protectorate troops onboard and in few short hours, we were gone.
This perhaps came as somewhat rude or appreciated surprise to both sides involved in the conflict but we had our own reasons for leaving. I believe that Caldari task force lost 16 ships plus unaccounted number of frigates flown by the defectors during this incursion while destroying over 200 enemy ships belonging to Minmatar militia or pirates.
And I must say, I appreciated our little skirmish in Arnher where EM task force was destroyed to last man, despite outnumbering Caldari. We have now mobilised our forces in our front and first systems have been retaken from FDU.

Congratulations, the rapid loss of a number of systems to the TLF is good, even if it is only a coencides with your entry into the fight. I didn't get to fight any Electus Matari pilots, mostly due to them traveling in packs. But I heard good things prior to my surrender for spirits and ten million isk to Mr. Desher there.
I offer him his spirits back if he introduces me to the lovely lady making the announcement here though.

Edited by: Alica Wildfire on 16/01/2010 14:03:00 Indeed the act of Electus Matari was inspiring. In alliance with EVE-Union the FIA has begun to launch a campaign to free Derelik of Empire influence as a result. Whoever stands and watches without acting the ongoing of imperial aggression is helping them in a way.
