Hi all
I have decided on a new pc build.
All to do now is purchase the parts. THerefore i'd appreciate any online PC component retailers you can recommend.
Thanks

I've been buying from these guys for 4+ years, never had a single issue with them and I've ordered parts to build over two dozen systems in that time frame for both myself, and family and friend.
I've only had one problem in terms of DOA parts, and that was when I ordered 6x 500GB Seagate Barracudas from them about a year ago. I called them when I realised 4 of them were DOA despite being well packaged and protected.
They immediately informed me there'd been a bad batch from Seagate, and they organised a courier to pick them up the next day. The day after that I had 4 replacements that worked flawlessly.
Can't go wrong with these guys tbh.

Props to Misco for having 5850s in stock a few weeks ago when virtually no-one else did. --- 34.4:1 mineral compression |

Stay away from OcUK, they have the worst customer support possible.
Follow Verones suggestion, I have been a happy scan customer for nearly ten years now.

apart from taking a few days to get an old graphics card replaced because it died, I've not had too much problems with OcUK but then I live within 10 mins from them generally stuff is done face to face.

Wow, thanks for that link Verone, found a tasty 23" monitor, 16000:1 contrast, full HD etc etc for 137 quid. Cheapest I could find one like that elsewhere(ebuyer etc) was 150+.
Looks like I can get my new EvE monitor quicker than I thought :) _____________________________________________ Of Riches and Slaves - Adventures of an Amarrian Noble |

Quoting Verone and his headgear.
These guys really do know their stuff and the prices are amazing. CS is super helpful and the place itself in Bolton is great to pop down too when I need something rather than waiting for a delivery (handy I live 20mins or so away). -------

My first issue with OcUK was a broken Mushkin memory stick, if it was inserted in any motherboard it was impossible to power on (short circuit style). Just to be sure I tested it in 3 motherboards so RMA'd it. Got it back a week later "tested without issues". Tested again and it still acted as before so sent it back again. Yet a week later "tested fine". Bloody useles morons, so I contacted Mushkin in Anerica and had it replaced a week later. New stick working as intended.
Second issue was an ATI X1900XTX that stopped working (was part of the same build as the RAM above or I had never bought it in the first place. The card was working fine for 2 months and then died. I RMA'd it back to OcUK and the wait for replacement began. 12 weeks later I got a replacement at which stage I already got a new card from Scan so the replacement ended up straight on eBay.
So no, I will never ever buy anything from that useless store ever again.

I use Scan and Ocuk and both have been fine for me, never had an issue with anything from scan and had to return a motherboard to Oc which was found to be at fault and replaced, but I had a friend who bought one of their overclocked bundles, after I recommended it , and he had over a month of returning and being told it was ok before it was finally replaced, I guess it just depends who handles your returns.

QuietPC UK is also worth a look if you don't want your new rig to sound like a jet engine. It's not going to be a one stop shop for your whole rig, but what they do sell is good stuff and very competitively priced for a small specialist company. They also deliver quickly and the service is good.
