Edited by: TimMc on 10/01/2010 13:24:49 Fit heatsinks. Replace ab (lol) with sensor booster (scan res script).
Edit: Also 2 reps is overkill I think in siege. Will nuke your cap.

Basic Revelation set up. Dreads are ment to die. Dont fit a AB or a MWD its pointless. Against a heavely defended POS you wont rep fast enough with 2 reps even with over heating and boosters. What you want to do is last until you are out of siege so carriers can rep you or you can warp out. Get implants for damage and low grade slaves if you want. Normaly even if you are bubbled the lag is so bad you can escape. I use the wour can lightly because with Dominion it seems even if you are sunk in lagg you opponent is not.

May want to add a CPR to the 3x CR II because your guns eat a lot of cap. Losing the CAR for it is an option, as your reps won't do much against a gazillion DPS in siege and you are dependent on RR out of siege.

With my max cap skills, and implants its cap stable at 44% with out the rep on. It will last for 5 min with it on. If you want to drop the rep.....replace it with another heat sink or EANM.

44% isn't much when you need to run the rep and may be neuted too, or want to jump out asap. after a siege cycle

Being in Tri you should know if you are commiting Dreads to a POS Neut Towers go first and if you are at a "Death Star" you can expect atleast one loss if its guns are being maned. Also any decent sized alliance is going to have carrier support to the point that the carriers can rep the dread back up so the dread can re enter siege at the next cycle or sit there as a meat shield if the gunners dont realize its getting repped or the legg is just that bad.

'Being in TRI' I also know that moving and committing dreads is an inherent risk and if you get caught by a sub cap fleet neuting is still a risk. (see: rooks and kings video's..) Just after jumping, stuck at 35 or less % cap, you are most vulnerable and having as little cap overhead as the rev fit in question does, is bound to lead to trouble.

So what you are saying is sacrifice tank and/or DPS just to fit for a battle were you dont have a good enough sub cap support fleet of RR BS or any thing els for that matter, were a fleet of neuting BS role your cap fleet because obviously after you jump you are going to have 30% cap maybe more?

Sigh, if you're not willing to engage in a civil discussion then stop replying. I'm just saying that a rev with cap hungry guns can use a little more attention in that department than for example a phoenix or nag.
And you should know that TRI is just a bunch of random guys that like to blow stuff up, there are few other common divisors let alone strict enforcement of fittings.

I am being civil. If I'm doing it wrong I wanna know. I dont want to give out bad fittings or advice.

I don't believe in be all end all fits except in a very limited number of occasions. Dreads suffer from needing a balance between EHP, DPS and cap, because the log off- log on for cap trick no longer works. Add to that the possibility of a sniping dread fleet and it becomes even more complicated.

You two clearly have your differences... What is becoming clear to me is that dread fits are supposed to be specialized... So... Uber-Tank fit pl0x?

You can fit for lots of EHP (tank is useless), but that will lose the two heat sinks, which ironically makes the guns use less cap/s as an advantage
go like 1x dcu 3x eanm 4x hardeners 3x trimarks, overheat hardener for maximum lulz when being shot

1) Unfit beams, fit pulses 2) ?? 3) profit!
Pulses use less cap but a gank fit needs 3 heat sinks :)

Cap issue is easily solved by training dread 5 or adding one of those -cap use energy weapon rigs. Dropping the CAR is not a good idea.
