Was having a look at these last night, seem very steep for a tiny 1 - 3% gain. Anyone using these at all? Are they worth forking out a heavy price tag for?

Considering that the market price is based on supply and demand, one could argue that especially the 'steep' ones are worth it. In general, the 3% ones are quite affordable and well worth their price. The 5% ones are for people who want to squeeze everything out of their ship/activities.

More likely for people who don't want to put 15d for that lvl V skill to squeeze in a full rack of 425mm or similar but have loads of cash and fail at reading fitting requirements and - using the compare tool. I really haven't seen a single fit where that extra 5% grid would had been needed once you swap that T2 to a named for example.

Sometimes you don't want to downgrade from T2 and that is where the expensive hardwireings are useful.
Say no to 24000byte sig limit. |

Sure there are hardwireings where the 5% one is not that useful, but this is about hardwireings in general, not just the grid one. So, for those wanting to squeeze out every bit of damage / tank, the lvl 5 skill is well worth it.

So in a nut shell your paying a bucket load of ISK to get some kind of advantage over another highly skilled character in combat for example?

Precisely. Same reason people fork out for Faction/Deadspace/Officer mods and T3 ships. and further more why do i even need a sig? |
