Due to an issue with POS, we will take Tranquility down at 20:22 UTC to apply a fix to the server. We expect downtime to last no longer than 20 minutes, and Tranquility will return to service at 20:42 UTC.
We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause you.

People on server?
You guys make squeeky noises when you pop, and that's enough motivation as far as I'm concerned. |

I'm gonna laugh if this 20 minute DT turns into a 20 hour DT. ____________________________________________ When going to a party with wine, women, and song. Always ascertain the vintage of the first two. |

I get the feeling more and more that CCP isn't working like professionals at all.
Sufficient Test seems some foreign word.
Good Luck, i think it will last 2 hours at least...

Eve is currently like a car that has a blown engine. A car which CCP seem more bothered in giving a respray and a few go faster stripes, and then hoping that no-one actually tries to drive it.

at least it shows the testing was not mapped correctly and automated testing of basic functionalities has not been done.
And i have been managing software testing for some years...

If you have something that only happends like once every 20 times you try something .. you will not find it as easely if you do basic functionality testing.
Until CCP tells us what this exploit is (cause if it wasn't an exploit they would tell us what was broken already) ... its only guessing.

MOTD Tranquility will be shutting down for an unscheduled shutdown at 20:20 GMT, to apply a hotfix. The downtime is expected to be no longer than 20 minutes.
How many people do you have working on shutting down the cluster?? And how do you keep them from communicating so efficiently??
