Edited by: Newbie Ned on 04/02/2010 10:19:26 Hi
For a while I have been playing Eve on my fairly high-end laptop. It runs fine but the screen is just too small. I therefore decided that a monitor (23inch) connected by HDMI cable would be the way ahead. My questions are:
1. Is this a good plan? If not then what should I do? 2. I was originally going to get an LG monitor with 1920 x 1080 resolution, but eve doesn't seem to offer that as an option. Am I better going for a monitor with 1600 x 900 which is at least close to the 1440 x 900 eve option? Edit to add third Q: 3. Will I notice a difference between 2ms and 5ms response time?
Any other monitor-attached-to-laptop tips gratefully received.
Thanks

1. Assuming your Laptops GPU is pretty decent then a larger screen would be a good idea. 2. EVE detects the resolutions offered by your system and displays them in the drop down. As long as you install the monitor and add any resolutions that don't get added by the system EVE will run in them. 3. No. ------------------------------------- The system issues man. |

OK I bought the monitor, installed the drivers and it seems to work fine except Eve still doesn't give me a 1920 x 1080 option. Any ideas? I am using it attached to my laptop, which uses 1440 x 900 (which eve does give as a selection).
