Why would there be? Wouldn't there already be a built-in limit based on how many exploration complexes are currently spawned in-game?

Given the amount of escalations we get I would say there is no limit. My Guessteminator(tm) is further sugesting, that thanks to the market believers in CCP's ranks, the balancing will happen over the price of deadspace items. I would not wonder if the Vindi is getting down to 500M within 2 months.

[speculation about CCP's plex mechanics] There are so many complexes active in each region, and will respawn in another system upon completion. Each complex has a fixed chance to escalate. Therefore, more people plexing means more complexes being completed, which means more escalations on average.
The limit on esclations has more to do with the number of people plexing than a certain hard limit. [/speculation]

the bit about stuff despawning upon completion with the current patch build is false, the despawning bug is back with a vengence at the moment Signature - CCP what this game needs is more variance in PVE aspects and a little bit less PVP focus, more content more varied level 1-4 missions more than just 10 per faction high sec low sec and 00 |

The 24h timer resets when you warp to the complex gate. You don't have to enter the plex.

Why would you want to do that though? If you're after faction/deadspace loot you'll advance&complete expedition by getting that Now sometime ago(pre-empyrean age or so) the stages weren't completed by killing faction NPCs and you could just farm those expeditions endlessly |
