hey, the patching process (28/07/2012) went smoothly but the game no longer starts as it should. The exefile.exe process is still being spawned and it appears in running processes in Task Manager. I tried using the repair tool and restarting my pc. It didn't help.
It seems the patch that was applied today is to take the balme since I had not installed any software prior to the patch.

It didn't work for me either.
I checked if it's a gfx driver issue by running some other games and nope ....
the ExeFile.exe process spawns but that's it. I'm going to file a bug report ...

can you please clarify the issue you are talking about, there are several different issues which cause the client not to start and they have all different solutions.
Bug Reports including screenshots and logserver logs are also very helpful identifying solutions, if you already submitted a bug report please just post the bug report ID in this thread so I have an easier time finding it in our internal systems. CCP Sputnik | Software Engineer | Team Undone Unit

OK this seems to be a general issue with client settings if you have a windows user name including Unicode characters, I have started to poke people about this and should be able to let you know more before the end of the day.

I created a new Windows account that does not contain any unicode characters and now I am ably to play EVE on that account.
You can copy your old settings over to the new account so that you won't have to configure anything again ( and reverse the process once the bug's been fixed ).
It will most probably work for you as well. |

Changing the username is not enough. Even if you change it to latin-only the name of the folder will stay the same. You have to create a new account for this to work and log on it i'm afraid. |

Just to keep everybody up to date, we are working on a solution for this issue and will release a small client update as soon as we have the fix ready.

I have the same problem - there was a process ExeFile.exe, but the client wasn't started. The user name is written by Cyrillics. |

Current Status:

I will post as soon as the Multiplicity is updated with Inferno 1.1.4.
PS. If you want to confirm that 1.1.4 is fixing the issue for you please follow these steps (this is entirely voluntary and at your own risk):
- Create a copy of an EVE Online shortcut or create a shortcut to eve.exe yourself.
- Right click the shortcut an select Properties.
- Add the following to the target entry "/server:87.237.38.51"
- Use this link to start your client as soon as Multiplicity is updated.
- After you have made sure that the client starts correctly you can delete the Shortcut again.
It is not necessary to create a copy of the client you can just do this with your TQ client, which also means you wont have to update it as soon as TQ gets updated.

I'm having the same problem .. I live in Turkey ... -¦ m using the Windows 7 ultimate 64-bit - Ati Radeon HD 4890 (with latest driver ) .. try to repaired several times but it didn't help --- cleared all cached client data and settings didn't help either...
game was working before DT today but ... didn't start after DT ... "ExeFile.exe" stop in windows task manager> proceses > memory 217k~214k |
