Hi,
there are 4 skills called Amarr/Gal/Min/Cald-Drone Specialization. The descriptions reads:
"Specialization in the operation of advanced [faction]drones. 2% bonus to advanced [faction] drone damage per level."
Now I wonder... wich are the [faction] advanced drones that benefit from these skills?

Edited by: Mashie Saldana on 14/02/2010 11:03:46 It really should have said racial instead of faction.
Look up the skill requirements for the various T2 (combat drones, not sentry) drones and you get the idea as they are the only ones affected by those skills.

Gallente, Minmatar, Caldari, and Amarr are the four main factions and are composed of multiple races.

As a general rule of thumb, any "specialization" skill will only affect items/modules/whatevers that have that skill as one of their pre-requisites. ——— “If you're not willing to fight for what you have in ≡v≡… you don't deserve it, and you will lose it.” — Karath Piki |

Actually they're four races split into 3 different bloodlines.

Actually, they're one race (homo sapiens) split into at least 12 different bloodlines (but note that there are 7 Minmatar tribes, not just the 3 you can choose, so there are significantly more bloodlines - just not all playable). --------------------------------- Regarding high-sec mining:

The Gallente, Intaki, and Jin Mei all came from different planets but they are members of the same state. The Civre and Deteis came from the same planet, but the Achura came from a different one. The same is true for True Amarr/Khanid and Ni-Kunni. All of the Minmatar races originated from Pator.

Exactly. Obviously they're all the same species (human), but after thousands of years of evolution on different continents, planets, and systems, they've split into many races. The four main empires are all racially heterogeneous to some extent or another.
Even if each faction was made of people from a single planet, that doesn't mean they're the same race. Look at Earth. Is everyone here the same race? Or even look individual countries on Earth. Are all Americans the same race? What about all Canadians?
"Race" is the wrong term, albeit a commonly used one. They are factions or empires, not races. This misconception comes from the common fantasy and sci-fi trope that all members of a given species (other than human) are all basically the same and are a unified race.
I have the feeling I'm going to be accused of nitpicking or pendantry, but I'm not the one that said it should be "racial" instead of "faction" in the first place.
