already found an error in that series, Iceland was never **** controlled, it was a neutral country with US/UK base(s). this series suggests otherwise, kinda like saving private ryan, where the jewish squad member (forgot his name) already seemed to know what was happing to jews. mistakes like that are ------------ I show nothing |

I thought Iceland was invaded by the Allies so as to prevent the ****s from establishing a foothold there. While Iceland was neutral, it's location would have been a prime base.
From what I also remember, Iceland didn't put up any resistance. -------------------------------- CCP can patch away bugs, but they can't patch away stupidity. |

Nowhere in that movie did anyone say Mellish knew anything but what everyone else knew, germans didn't like jews.
If anything him being taken down hand to hand by a superior german suggest something else if you want to speculate...

dont remember anything about iceland in the pacific trailer of this series that is to come soon and ive seen the trailer a fair few times (it having come out some time ago now)
and as already said, the jew in SPR didnt necessarily know of the holocaust, but it was no secret at all that the ****s had a hatred for jews - he would of known that a decade before he set foot on normandy if he read papers.

Because that's how your aristocracy roll(s)ed?
Admiral Byng?
Mutiny at the Nore?
For every Nelson or Hood, there was quite a few inept political commanders in charge of getting people killed. ♥

BoB was an awesome TV show, very gritty, very graphic, and it had a way of effortlessly drawing you in if you stayed long enough ot pay attention. Looking at the trailer, I expect more of the same.
...too bad I don't get HBO.

Among the best war films you can buy. Its kind of like a dramatised documentory and unlike many other war films *cough* pearl harbour * cough*, this one plays out exactly like it happened so you end up with a lot of the main characters getting killed and a lot of the time you just cant tell who is going to make it out alive.
I hope the new ones are just as good.
i'll be honest, i teared the eff out quite a few times.
an excellent documentary on just how messed up war is. ♥

I also highly recommend watching the documentary with the remaining survivors from the 101st Airborne. Talk about a tear jerker.

2 extremely poor examples for your argument mr possum.
Byng is largely considered to have been a scapegoat (in fact there having been a movement recently to have his reputation restored), and the mutiny at the nore was over better pay and conditions, not to do with aristocracy.
well done though on producing 2 completely irrelevant, 200-250 year old examples to an argument about ww2.
