I know you can look at the info for the wormhole and if it says " Leads to unknown space" then its a class 1/2/3. My question is how to tell if its a class 1 vs 2 vs 3. Thanks

1. Find the wormhole ID (go through to the other side if your side is K162) 2. Look up the wormhole ID on any number of websites or programs that give details on wormholes. 3. ??? 4. Profit! ---

You can also tell by the colour of the wormhole. It goes from blue for a class one, to red for a class 6

Color just determines the color of the system you are entering.

Yes, but all class 1 wormholes look the same, as do all class 2s, and so on, so you are able to determine with 100% certainity what class you are entering just from looking at the wormhole.

Where did you get that idea from?? I can tell you its not true.
@OP: Either check the wormhole ID and check it with wormhole thingie or enter it and search for the locus sig on dotlan

Why do you post this? All C1's are the same colour all C2's are the same colour, and all C3's e.t.c
Why post complete untruths in a thread where a guy is asking a simple question. He asked politely and the question is simple to answer. Either you are unaware of WHs and so shouldn't answer, or are just trolling. In the later case why so sad, do you have nothing better to do than troll in Missions and Complexes? Is the level of wit required to troll in CAOD beyond you?
To the OP, all C1s and C2s are the same colour, thus the WHs in form highsec/low/null/other WHs will be the same colour. A corpmate of mine claims there are teal sploges in one but not the other, which allow you to tell them apart, but I'm no convinced about that. C3s however are a different colour completely, its actualy quite hard to descibe, grey with touches of orange would be best, see the link.
Thus by looking at the colour of the inboud WH (which is the colour of the system you are jumping into) you can tell the difference between C1s + C2s and C3s.
Example of C3 WH

This.
Also, I can confirm that there is a slight, albeit minor, difference between C1s and C2s.

C1 - Dark Blue C2 - Dark Blue (very similar to C1, hard to tell difference) C3 - White C4 - Green C5 - Black with red shine C6 - Red
C5 and C6 look very similar also but can be asertained by the WH info (dangerous space C5, deadly space C6)
Always, never different.
WH's to known space show roughly the colour of the space it leads to also so usually : blue - caldari, red - minmatar, aqua- gallente, yellow amarr.
