For the past couple of weeks I've been converting an old excel spreadsheet that contained systems I'd scanned n remembered to log along with their static WH.
I've created this site to anable other W space explorers to help log which static is the probable exit type for each locus sig or just to find out where they are and if anyone's been kind enough to add the static or sig count.
Wormhole Explorer - Statics, Statistics and more
The site is designed to be viewed from the IGB however can also be used outside eve for general information. In game it has 2 parts. Keep the site untrusted and you can search on the locus sig and find out the general info related to that system as well as the eve API stats for kills and jumps within the last 48 hours and if anyone has added records for that site, the most probably static type.
If you feel brave enough to trust the site then it will automatically pick up which system you are in from the PHP headers and give you the option to enter information regarding that system. The only info you can add are the static, the number of sigs and whether it's occupied. I will not be collecting information about who occupies the system though as I feel strongly on peoples right to privacy, especially in deep W space. Also any information with the exception of the static will only be available for you. So nobody will be able to see which systems you've scanned and added unless they log in as you which means that someone's pinched your password. Sig counts and occupancy status are also FYEO.
Bug reports and suggestions to myself (Raath Nambode). Feel free to PM me or message me.

Can you make some sort of statistics per constellation? Always wondered if those stories about sigs/anom respawn in the same constellation after completion are true or only myth.

There are several class 2 constellations with only one system each, if your theory was true you'd get insta-respawns in those.

I have been working on a very similar project, actually. Mine is a bit more ... non-open; however; I can share, that system statics are constellation-wide. IE; if you find that a specific Class 5 has a H296; EVERY system in that constellation will have an H296 as it's system static. This should help you fill in some of the gaps.
Also, your website appears to be down (might just be blocked from work tho)

Interesting concept. Sort by constelation and region. I'll have a play with that and see what I can come up with

A few people asked if it were possible to import the sig map from the scanner into some form of widget. I've had a play and added a sigmap logger to the site.
Usage is simple.
In the main screen that shows info on the site you're currently in, between the last 10 scans and the K162 space RSS feed there should be a link to "Add Sigmap" if no sigmap exists and "Sigmap Available" if there is.
As you scan down each sig you can add them to the DB by entering the ID name, selecting the Group (Radar, Grav, Ladar etc) then the type. For Radars, mags and cosmic anomolies the list is sorted by the class you're in. At DT each sig will be marked as expired and allow you the chance to re-enter the new sig. Should a sig expire you can delete it, or edit it if you put in the wrong ID.
The map will be automatically shared with your corp ONLY. Should someone be in your system out of your corp they won't get to see your sig map. They'll have to scan their own.

Edited by: Insta Poof on 16/03/2010 18:55:41 question using the sigmap feature - why can't you edit the group/type after inputting it? from what i can tell - the tool is meant to be used after the group/type is known - which doesn't happen when scanning in the beginning.
Ideally wouldn't you want a group of scanners to be able to do an initial scan of a system, enter only the ID's and then update each one (the group/type) as it's scanned down (also keeps ppl from doing double work). Or am I just doing it wrong?
