Edited by: Alex Bester on 23/02/2010 16:41:47 This will get interessting, men who feel that time is running out are prone to do extrem things.
(Even more extrem then before) I wonder it this will go public, and what will become of the investigation.
Nice inversed symetrie with the Amarrian Empress by the way.

As one of the folks currently fighting the war in Placid, I'd kindly remind the author that the Blind Auction took place in Placid, not Black Rise.
But good read, nonetheless.

So guys, what'll you do when we recapture Intaki within a week or two? At the rate systems flipped in Virette constellation this weekend, there was a chance this chronicle would have been outdated before it was posted. :D
A Storyline response (Mercury or otherwise) to a coalition of FDU corps blowing up Ishukone (NPC) haulers on a regular basis on Intaki would be nice too...
Intaki Local is a very intersesting place to hang out currently.

Originally by: Andreus LeHane Well, this is refreshingly clear proof, if any were needed, that Tibus Heth is absolutely, irredeemably insane.
Is that how you saw it? How so?
All I saw here was the "original" Heth so to speak. The man of the people, the Caldari worker through and through. I saw an good man in contrast to the Neo-****** he's often portrayed as. Does your President and/or Prime Minister wait inline for a doctors appointment like the common man?
What exactly screams insane? The entire conspiracy plot? Hell I thought he's taking it quite well. Foiritaine's resignation along with Roden's meteoric rise is absolutely startling (from an fictional stand point), it would literally be equal to President Obama suddenly holding a press conference and saying "**** it, I'm out" followed by an independent suddenly taking the job.
And if you don't think the Gallente have agents in high place in the state then you are truly underestimating your faction.

I was exposed to same disease few times while mining Augumen for my agents. I demand that all of us industry and science characters get compensated by CCP for their failure to regulate our agents better.
As for Tibus, he should have focused more on State instead of warmonging and supporting terrorism.

Damnit, why kill off Heth? Cheap plot device is cheap.
brb, making up rp about worshipping him as the eternal glorious leader once he dies.
Also, isn't curious how empires/states that had stable politics for centuries (according to the storyline) are now going through revolutions/snap elections/power fights twice a year? CCP should pull its act together. --------------------------- Only those who surrender are lost |

I don't find any better word to say it:
Live by the State, die by the State.
Literally, what made the Caldari ultracorporativism so efficient (augumen being cheaper than the safer alternative), may speak its demise, starting from the very top brass that's supposed to be shielded by its weaknesses.
Nice read. May open great possibilities in the political background, and in the interaction between capsuleer actions and the storyline.
The masterful touch: I loved how the nurse wondered if she was before her head of State, and then preferred to believe her own corporate-produced records than her own eyes. That's what you get when you have an overly obedient and nationalistic population: true drones, not Dominix ones... --- Kat |

In other news, Intaki has been liberated, along with several other systems in the past 24 hours.
CCP is going to have to pick up the storyline slack a bit with these changes. ;)

Why do I have the feeling that Tibus Heth is a mirror of Stalin? Paranoia, possible removing of traitors, suspicious people, threats to the State and such. Maybe he'll die too of poisoning.

True. But I expect it would take a massive effort from the playerbase to influence those plans. In fact I think Intaki is meant to be a hot-spot for a long time to come.
Calling it now: Intaki is going to be the tutorial planet for DUST 514 or a place where DUST players can do battles under NPC license. ---------------- Mr. Science & Trade Institute

QFT. I saw a simple worker gettign a check up. And a man who feared his freshly won independence could be seized by another nation.
Then he finds out he was betrayed by his own nation, his own family even. He is now mirroring the Gallente after they were invaded. Could turn out better for him as he has no political hangup to care about.[Foritain] And death does not scare him.
In other news, 9/11 workers are being denied Healthcare even as they and their expertly drained rescue dogs are dying from "slow, painful, respiratory diseases". Apparently, the Towers turned into pure Asbestos and all of those first responders[heroes] are doomed. And the Bush administration has been stalling for years.[augumen]
Obama can't pass coverage for them without a filibuster.[Ishkone]
I love the smell of Treason in the morning! Or is that Tragedy...

so does this story lead anywhere ? in the future Signature - CCP what this game needs is more variance in PVE aspects and a little bit less PVP focus, more content more varied level 1-4 missions more than just 10 per faction high sec low sec and 00 |

well, the liberation of a huge swathe of territory that had dozens of billions of ISK from the megacorporations in development and assets. . . should be a big deal. It's a game changer, in storyline terms. Intaki was set aside as the single system Ishukone bought during the blind auction, for a massive sum of ISK. At the moment, Federation Navy is probably tearing through every piece of Ishukone property in the process of resecuring the system.

Intaki is becoming a very interesting place. I am glad the future of EVE as a game will be tied to Intaki lore. As somebody already mentioned, it will be one one of hotbeds of DUST514 activity.
Perfect timing, taking into consideration things that have been happening around Intaki lately in-game.

I considered this, but Heth did poignantly characterize himself as an everyman.
I am concerned this Heth will be motivated to go out with a bang, so to speak.

EDIT-Maybe not quite to that effect on the latter, but he def. profited from the elimination of his greatest rival. Based on other intel it looks like Ishukone will be the corporation to wrest control and set the State right again.

Wa-a-a-a-a-a-a-ait a minute. I remember doing a number of Level IV mining missions and quantities of Augumene being the objective.
Now I can still use my jump clones without problem, but lately I've been mining more, perusing the contracts for deals, and manufacturing to take up time between skill training for better ships. I've done more classic carebearing in the last two months than I've done in the first 2 1/2 years of being in New Eden.
My god, I must be like Tibus, slowly losing my brain function and not realizing its happening. (Eyes go out of focus, blinking intermittantly, features relaxing into a detached look)

well I guess this.. sry to say bull**** story is the reason for the recent news itme 'Federation fleet denied entrance to Intaki'
Way to go CCp to de motivate the role players that were doing the plexing in FW to effect the storyline... I guess th etalk about players effecting storyline only works if it fits your predetermined new narrative here.
