In this particular instance, I truly believe that CCP should have spent that money and hours on fixing what is broken.
Anyways, nice looking ships...btw, it was already nice looking. Go figure!
Considering the people working on this are graphics artists and not programmers I doubt you want them fixing the other problems... just saying.
Exactly my point, fire the art people and hire programmers. Hence the 'CCP should have spent that money and hours on fixing what is broken'.

Shhh. This is a computer game forum. Logic, reason and a grasp of how the world works have no place here.

Sheesh you guys, the way you talk we'd never see any new art in Eve, and every update would be more bugfixes and "tweaks" for you to complain about. I didn't hear you trying to get the art team fired for the new planets.
Be glad CCP is at least TRYING to make Eve look and feel better than it did in 2005.

I can't be glad because in my world, fixing game mechanics >>>>>>> updating of-no-real-use-artwork.
By this I don't mean that CCP shouldn't update graphics, only that there are more important things to fix than remaking the ****ing Scorp hull.

LOVE IT!
I always hated the hyper-unsymmetrical ships such as the scorpion. Just because caldari are supposed to be function over form doesn't mean they have to be butt ugly.

Yes, that is exactly how the real world works like.
no its not. Anyone that has ever worked and understand about software development management knows that after a certain ammount of people involve d in a problem , adding more people just make the solution comes SLOWER!!!
THis is not like making a building!

Edited by: Destroperuk on 27/02/2010 18:07:52 You assume that the people who made the new Scorpion model are the same as the people who create bugfixes and balance game mechanics.
Protip: it's not. They are mostly independent of each other.

Well, I've been int he game since 2004, and while it took a little time, I've become fond of the few things in Eve that are different than the rest.
This fully includes the unbalanced structures of the Caldari ships.
The 'butt ugly' argument needs to stop before they all end up looking the the Megathron's shapes (to speak nothing of its colors). The Mega used to be pretty awesome looking, but I believe they went backward with the design.
The same will continue for the rest of the ships: we see it in real life cars and trucks, and we see it in Eve - artistic redesigns always, always mute and soften the original artistic idea.
It's sad.
That unbalanced look that makes you feel all weird about your unique ship now will become a fond memory as this game, and its art, homogenizes.
My guess is that, instead, the developers found it too difficult to reproduce the original ships with the newer layers, so they are selling the bold 'we chose to redesign' scheme to give us what we're going to have.
And you simpletons are all up for buying the lies because you simply don't know any better about differences creating interest, nor propaganda.

Whoa, don't be rude man. Everyone is entitled to an opinion and if people think this new model is smoking hot (myself included ) then thats okay. Don't go make an a$$ outta yourself just because your mad we don't think like you or cuz the general consensus in this thread is that the new model looks BA
