It is with great pleasure that I can announce that the PIE Directorate has appointed Admiral Ruah Piskonit to the position of CEO. He replaces Admiral Archbishop who had earlier decided to step down from the role to concentrate on more spiritual matters.
To our enemies, who may think that this change in leadership will result in a slackening of our resolve I say think again! Under Admiral Piskonit's leadership PIE will reinforce its reputation for providing swift justice to the malcontents that threaten the security of the Amarrian people.
In a statement to the pilots of the corporation, the new CEO re-affirmed PIE's commitment to the Empire and announced a number of initiatives which were well-received by the membership.
Admiral Piskonit becomes the tenth capsuleer to lead PIE.

Well you know me, Rodj. Give me credit where it's due - of all the things I might say about it, I would not for a moment ever accuse your corporation of slackening in resolve. You're all foul-mouthed, utterly insane zealots. There's no moderates of slack resolve there for you to risk run the risk of appointing. -----

As a Matari warrior we prefer tough meat to chew on from solid and healthy Amarrians and no soft tissue of fast-food cheap grill-o-soldiers for the evil Empire which sort has been spreading among our enemies like a disease.
But I would like to hear an official statement about the rumors of Archbishops spiritual retreat into the Sovereign Hospitaller Order of Saint Katherine?

I hope to see a change on PIE's new mantle regarding this too. It's sad to see a formal enemy living on the shadows of another as it's happening with PIE nowadays.
I wish you good fortunes Admiral Piskonit's on returning PIE to its formal Golden age glory, if that is all possible. If nothing else, just for the pleasure I'll have to look at you with eyes of something worthy to consider a dangerous enemy at space or even to be taken as more than stalkers and jesters at IGS.

This is the first I've heard of these rumours. They are false.
Furthermore, we recently voted against male space nuns. 99.5% of the vote was "boys are icky", with only 0.5% voting "yay boys".
Which further underlines the ridiculousness of the rumours.
But that's not the topic under discussion here.
May Archbishop find what he is looking for, and may the new CEO of PIE find the corporation management tools obeying his orders.

To be fair, all I've ever seen of the Archbishop is a hood, a nose, and a chin, none of which are strong gender identifiers. If the announcement were made that Archbishop had retired from PIE, revealed herself to be female, and taken holy orders with the OSK, it would only be the most recent surprise in a month that has been full of them.

Yep take CVA for example, their being publicly scrutinized and destroyed for the crimes such as betrayal, and sinning, and it doesnÆt matter how many scriptures they read, their on a one way track to self destruction
I however wish you good Luck Mr Piskonit, I hope that you do not fall to greed like you allies and hope that you do not fall to arrogance or deluded visions of Grandeur.

I will miss this old preacher, it has always been entertaining to see the defacing of his ridiculous belief in a civil debate. as rare as those opportunitys were.
You leave great shoes to fill i dare to say.

You didn't seriously believe you would get away with that snipe without making at least one of us reply, did you?
1. We are not bitter. Further, ignore us at your peril.
2. It is our detractors that claim we are irrelevant, not the other way around.
3. 'Humiliation'? Whose? Surely you must be thinking of someone else.
Further, perhaps you should save your replies for another thread, so that this thread does not just become another about Star Fraction, much as we love the exposure. Any publicity is good publicity, and all that.

Edited by: Alica Wildfire on 01/03/2010 15:31:56 I am really concerned about that spiritual retreat of Archbishop. He might have been an enemy to the Minmatar cause for so long but I always respected him as a man that was looking for answers.
So I'm asking: is the faith of Archbishop in his god shattered by the long lasting war? Is this retreat for spiritual recreation and finding back to his god? Or has Archbishop after all those years and sermons and disput with us Matari intellectuals finally becoming an atheist, or more specifically a secular humanist as myself?
If this should be the case I offer him to send some of my most valuable books that I have collected over the years from Minmatar poets and philosophers, most of them forbidden fruit in the Amarrian Empire.
But to taste this fruit is not only forbidden, it is enlightening and may give him some help to gather himself on this stony way out of dogmatic religion.
There is more about faith and truth in this world than we can learn from just one roll of scriptures. It takes all effort of us all to find the way and I wish Archbishop a safe journey on this dangerous path, may the holy inquisition never find his hideout. -- FREEDOM, PUNK & AUTOCANNONS

I have made my statement to PIE already and do not feel the need to present anything here. Everyone here knows what PIE's objectives are and specific actions will be revealed as they come up.
Of course if you have a question - then I would be glad to answer it for you. Otherwise this announcement is simply that. It has all the facts you need without the wall of text that accompanies many other announcements. I think some of us can appreciate that.

No matter what I might say about the Amarrians and their servants, the leadership of PIE is not something you could have achieved if you were not every bit as competent and dedicated as such a job required you to be, and I am sure that you will serve them well.
As for questions - I feel I may not need to ask, but does PIE have any long-term intentions of respecting the territorial claims of the Gallente Federation or the Minmatar Republic? -----

To be precise the Elders were not acting on behalve of the Minmatar Republic neither were they in any way affiliated to the government or anything official.
So the war of "Reclaiming" that was called to arms from Jamyl Sarum was an unjustified and aggressive act of war against the peace loving Minmatar Republic.
But they will pay for that. The Empire is already crumbling on its lowsec front. Next step Amarr prime. And when the banner of freedom is raised above the cathedral at Amarr prime a great age of freedom, peace and equatiy will come for everybody - Minmatar or Amarr.
