Nice try. EVE's servers are in the UK.
You think an American could tell the difference between Iceland and the UK on a map? ;)
Why would an American care?

Originally by: Rovo Has CCP considered using something to forecast and possibly prevent issues like this? I noticed something happening with my BSM software monitoring my assets before this happened.. CCP Why not implement this for your self? Could help you prevent issues like this in the future..
I use FireScope to monitor the eve servers (API), my network connections, and EVE-Central Market data in near real time. (I use there API to update a local database and then use a JDBC connection to it to run real-time data analysis.)
If I can do this from a user perspective, I am sure you can do something similar from the inside with a greater degree of accuracy and possible keep this from happening.
If you have more questions you have my contact info.

Trouble is, by the point the API server fell over, it was probably already too late to stop the problem without rebooting the servers.
