I live in 0.0 and have a good infrastructure for minerals like Zydrine and Megacyte. Now I want to build my own ships (and sell a few) in Highsec. Are there any systems that are preferred by new players to mine veldspar and such to produce Tritanium or Pyerite,...? I want to set buy-orders at reasonable prices just to have a good flow for these minerals. As I grew up in Heimatar, Ivar was quite a nice place next to noobsystems with looooaddds of belts. Now I need such a system in Caldari Space. Lonetrekk and The Forge preferred.
Or do you have any other suggestions for getting hold of minerals at a low price? 0.0 doesn't seem to be the best for it?

I knew it was a mistake to post here. Caod next door...
Another attempt: Rens and Hek are the hubs in Heimatar/ Metropolis AND there is a popular mining system there called "Ivar". Jita is this quite popular hub in The Forge, now what's the popular mining system there?
Thanks for some serious help...

for your high end stuff your not gona beat jita for a relayable source. As for the rest. Well there's plent of miners working there butts off all over caldari space. Find a system with plent of roids put your buy order in and they will come to you. Does this sound good?

Dont take it personally, its just that people are used to that those seekeing help have done their homework, before asking.
You could have used dotlans eve maps to look whitch highsec systems has plenty of belts for example.

Just so you know, Jita accounts for 53% of ALL trades made in EVE.
Nothing even comes close

Edited by: Nova Scottia on 03/03/2010 19:27:39 Skipper, I'm very aware of that. But it's not the best place for all goods.
Eve-Central Tritanium buy orders:
Jita: 2.94 Unpas: 2.64
know what I mean?

For cheap ore and minerals, here's what I do: * Find any system that is at least 8-14 jumps from Jita or any other trade hub. * Look for sell orders with high volumes. (I don't even bother with buy orders.) * Load it all into your freighter, and go eat dinner, or watch TV, etc. * ... * Profit!
Pretty much every region has a significant amount of ore and/or minerals at below Jita prices. You just have to be willing to pick it up.

I had a very close look at DOTLAN, figured out the 1.0 sec systems with 1 station (Noob-Systems) and had a look at the surrounding systems. Mostly the asteroid-belt count. Then checking the prices via Eve-Central delivered some good results. Buy-orders done. As some of my ALTs are in different regions I positioned them the same way. Now it's time to wait, get stuff and set courier-contracts to Jita
