Edited by: Sanche Tehkeli on 11/03/2010 10:59:24 Hi, create this thread to list all issues found when doing PI, the the other thread is more on mechanics and how tos.
As of Thursday, 2010-03-11 :
- Issue : stuck when trying to dock after doing PI in space.
Ship is close to the station but station envinonment doesn't load, context menu is disabled, chat is working.
- Workaround : log off/on
- Issue : "Load Planetary ressources" jauge fills up and stays visible with PI UI shown : tried to PI on Bosena I, Molden Heath, UI never shown up, still able to move and dock and doing all stuff but PI, even from Science and Industry window. Note : Bosena was not loaded before I entered, so traffic adv. and the like, maybe related.
- Workaround : none yet, after log off/on still bugged
- Issue : pinning a Harvester, if you scan for a first deposit, scan for another deposit with the same Harvester will display first deposit results instead of your new one.
- Workaround : unpin the Harvester, pin a new one for each deposit you want to scan
Fell free to complete.

Purchased upgrades are not persistant.
At least in my case v0v. I upgraded to the highest possible (to see what they cost), came back after dinner, and I was back to the beginning level.
Many materials are painfully hard to find (Carbon and water *even on a water planet!* in my case, haven't found any atm)...could just be me though.
Scanner not working (though, they said that in the Devblog, not much of an issue)
I had to reset my extractors deposits to get them running again after SiSi DT.
That's about it that I've found so far.

Reading from the devblog, materials are basically non present right now, as well

seems to be working today.
i got gold and aluminium nitrade but now im stuck with it and cant deposit it back intot he command center.
i bought some carbon thinking i could drop some direct into the processing facility but theres no ui for it yet. maybe when the planet lift gets installed.
there might not be carbon or water as they are trade goods already available on TQ and could be used specifically for shipping from the market rather than the planet.
i also cant figure out what the end products gonna be. all i can find so far is trade goods for npc market (\o/ free money) and nanite paste.

Interesting, I can't reproduce this at all. If you can find a consistent reproduction case for this, I'd be very interested :)

Confirming that I have NOT had this problem.
Upgraded a route once and came back finding it still going strong. Created a second route, upgraded it several times and it's still upgraded.
However, I am getting a weird problem where I can not create any new routes on my planet. Also can not delete any existing routes. (Uphene I if you want to take a look at stuff). Did have a pin stay even thought I removed it, but it disappeard when I relogged.
Also, possibly related to the above, for some reason when I launched mmy payload out, I clicked scrub launch after the payload had been launched. Items appeared in orbit as normal, but also were on the ground until after the relog. I was also unable to make furthur launches (yet to try after relog - will let you know.)
Other planet in same system (Uphene II) had no problems at all.

My upgrades for links/routes are still there too, no problem at all. (maybe the price for a 2000km long route but eh, logistic costs :D)

Can you list systems / const's where there is water / carbon silicon spawned?
(or drop some in UKKALEN, forge) where I am diligently testing away :D
Aside for making Alm Nitrade, and launching a few resources out, I have been trying to break links / routes, now that i think i understand them. Notes to follow today.

Still can't see any of the markers, they're there, managed to click them by fluke and do some setups... but I can't scan stuff out so it's just guesswork as to where to place things. Is this a problem related to low graphics settings or going to be a problem unique to me on my crappy hardware/others with their equally crappy hardware?
Got these links:
http://dl.eve-files.com/media/1003/2010.03.12.13.48.38.jpg http://dl.eve-files.com/media/1003/2010.03.12.13.49.31.jpg
First simply demonstrates how I can't see the icons, the grey patch in the hub of the second one shows how the icons appear when I mouseover, but apart from that one which is the command centre (and now very visible due to links) they are extremely hard to find, and completely invisible when not mouseovered.

My client crashes after trying to access View in Planet Mode. The loading bar shows up, then I get a black screen and eventually the whole client just quits to my desktop. It occurs at random tries to access planet mode. O, and the error report/bug reporter thingy doesn't launch.

When I enable widescreen, the markers of planetary installations or links are not in the right place. In order to interact with them, I have to click a bit below the marker.
Planet in widescreen are ellipsoidal, but in the wrong way: they are narrower and taller instead of spherical.

Confirmed and tested a bug where trying to launch two command centers (on different planets, mind) will cause the second one never to launch and simply vanish. Fixes after a relog, but not docking...so it's not a session change issue. By the way, this is my signature.

I'm able to get product to my command center, but when I launch, I don't see the can anywhere. The launch appears to be successful, the product is removed.
Am I missing a crucial step? I don't want to bug report it if it's just a matter of a missed step.

Issue : "Load Planetary ressources" (2nd in the list from initial post)
Log off and then enter planet mod on a new planet you have never played with before last patch. The PI mod will load correctly. And forget the first planets you played with before because they are surely definitively bugged now...
Thx to SiSi HELP chan players for having helpd me with this issue :)

I was on SiSi today with a guy who kept deploying invisible PCCs, he had to try like ten planets before finally getting a PCC to actually be visible to him. I've heard the same complaint from several other people but have not experienced it myself.
Also just a thought... it's really difficult to go around clicking on all your extractors to see if they are still producing, it would be nice if they turned red or something when they are depleted. And maybe yellow to indicate they are close to being depleted? A similar function would be nice to show processors that are waiting on resources as well.

Building a PCC sometimes gives an exception (I'm getting a message like "An exception has occurred. It has been logged in the log server as exception #54" in terminal). PCC disappears from cargohold but does not appear on planet. Workaround: installing PCC on different planet might work. ____________________________________ Open your eyes. And Awaken. |

Edited by: Lucifer''s Ghost on 13/03/2010 21:14:41 Experienced an issue at random times yesterday in Toshabia.
Placed an Extractor and a storage facility.
Created Link between extractor and storage facility.
Attempted to create route from extractor to storage facility.
Got a statement that I was unable to create a route as it would cause undue congestion.
fix was to upgrade link to the next level and everything worked fine.
This happened several times on different planets in the Bhizheba system as well during my initial first testing.
(Initial deployment to Bhizheba Planet VII, subsequent deployments to VIII and IX all experienced the first route setup bug)
It has happened once in Toshabia planet I so far, but my production facilities there are currently very limited in size.
EDIT Also: After DT as others have experienced, all extractors are offline and unable to be restarted even though I deliberately chose lodes that claimed a 3-4 day depletion period. As was stated above, fix was to remove pin and re-install/restart.

The Congestion issue when creating a route seems to be related to rounded numbers. Input numbers are rounded up, so when prompted to enter a number between "1 and x" just type (x-1), it works.

when veiwing a planet from out of region, the planet graphic is different. The planet was still terrestrial but much greener and with different continents. PCC & pins were all still there & functioning, just on a graphically different planet.
about the congested route issue mentioned just above, I tried setting the value down by 1 & by more than 1 with no consistent good result. The issue is bandwidth, not routing. Some of the high yielding short cycle time deposits will overload an ordinary route. Upgrading the route bandwidth always works. |

I put down some pins on Finid X in the Kador region and setup a little production line two days ago.
As I logged back in today I am unable to load planet mode for Finid X, it stalls on a "loading planet resources" full progress bar. I can escape out, so the progress bar dialog goes away, but after that I am stuck looking at planet X and am unable to get out of it by right-clicking and exit planet mode which I can do it just has no effect. If I open the star map and exit it my view is returned to my ship but planet mode is not working for any planet even after I dock and undock.
Other planets in the Finid solar system where I also put down some pins, although less complex in terms of links and routes, load fine as long as I dont break planet mode by loading Finid X.

I launched some stuff into space from a planet.. had a fancy 3-2-1 countdown, but it just vanished.. (is this garbage disposal)
