EveRefinery is a Windows program that displays market prices and refined prices for the items in your inventory. Thus, you can quickly decide whether to sell or refine each piece of your loot. Website Screenshot
Current features:
- Refined prices are based on PERFECT REFINING
- Select prices for any region
- Select any of the price types, such as Buy-Max (the maximum price people are paying to buy an item) or Sell-Median (mean price people request for an item)
- Show all refinable items in one list
- Limit the list to the assets of a specific character
- Limit the list to the assets at a specific station
- Items inside containers are included
- Each line is colored from green (refine it) to red (sell it)
Quick start guide: 1) Go to the website and download EveRefineryUpdater 2) Run it, and it will download the latest EveRefinery to the same folder 3) Run EveRefinery 4) Go to settings (select icon on the toolbar) 5) On page 1, set desired mineral prices 6) On page 2, add your game accounts (without that, assets feature won't work). There're instructions on adding accounts in a window opened by pressing Add button. 7) Click Load Characters 8) Go back to main window, select prices region and type you want, then (optional) select a character and a station. 9) Enjoy.
Planned features: 1) In-Game browser integration

Did you let the updater finish downloading everything? It would look like System.Data.Sqlite.dll is absent in your case.

I'd like to remind a few things. First, you can use the program without any api keys at all, but that prevents you from accessing your assets. Second, accessing assets needs full api key and that's it. Third, api keys caannot be used to hack into your account in any way.

Would help to have:
- Totals in columns to aid decide if -for example- Trit obtained from refining will be the amount needed. Same applies to earnings after selling. - an exception list to leave out personal items like ships, weapons, a goodies container, certain systems, etc. - automatic recognition of regions to which a station, where goodies are, belongs to.
Looks very promising and if you really have a chance to integrate it to EVE ingame browser, you have a winner!
Congrats!

Cool app, thumbs up!
I planned to have a look into EMMA but I disliked the need of MS SQL Server. But this tool seems to make that venture obsolete
Just one suggestion so far: I like to gather that stuff I want to sell in a container. Next to other containers which contain stuff I want to keep. Would be really helpful if one could even select a specific container in a station.
Cheers!

Edited by: Jedra Okin on 17/03/2010 22:15:37 This is very nice, thank you. I've been using eve asset manager to try to get an idea of base price vs. market price but found that it didn't clearly indicate what to sell like this does.
I was thinking about making my own app but yours does almost everything I want and no doubt you'll improve it. I have a few suggestions of things I would find useful:
- Display delta as a % in addition to a number, just as a nice to have option
- Allow options to use an absolute ISK value in addition to or instead of the % of sell price. Some items have a large enough percentage for the UI to indicate that it should be sold but the actual ISK amount is so low as to not be worth it. I would like to see items where there is a 20% profit and at least 50,000 ISK, as an example. This would have to take the quantity of the item into consideration somehow as well. Perhaps showing the data for both the single item and the stack of items
- Add filtering on delta by % and a specific ISK amount, or by items that only match the color-coding. Allow filtering by 'total profit' as well as 'per item profit'. For example when I sort by delta I can see all the items I can make more than 50k by selling but I can't then sort by name to make it easy to find in my inventory to move to a 'to sell' container. Being able to filter them out and then sort by name would be useful. Additionally (see previous suggestion) I would want to be able to filter on 'total delta' as well. For one item of a 50k profit I really would rather just reprocess it than go through the hassle. If I were to filter 'where delta < -50,000' that would exclude an item that only had a 40k profit. Thats great for 1, but if I had 1000 of those I would obviously want to sell them.
This is definitely the best thing so far to get me started. With a few tweaks on sorting and filtering it could be the perfect tool to pick your character, pick your station, and hit the 'tell me what to sell' button. Ultimately (after I input my criteria on what I consider to be worth my trouble) if I could just see the items that matched I could move them to a container and reprocess everything else saving a ton of time.
Thanks a lot for taking the time to make this and share it with the eve community. I hope you continue working on it as there is definitely a lot of value potential here.

Tool looks awesome, but I can't say anything more because the updater (and presumably the program itself) does not have proxy authentication support. I'll give it a try when I get home.
One thing of note, does the API allow you to see what is in containers in a station? I refuse to keep my entire inventory in a mess in the station, opting instead to use station warehouses to sort my items. If I could open my "Trash" container to see what the items inside that refine to, that would be pretty nifty.

The API has container ID (eve asset manager lets you filter by that) but as far as I can tell it isn't an option in this tool yet. This does let you sort by station. The container would be nice as well. I forgot about that. Once I move something from my 'unsorted' container to my 'to sell' or 'to refine' container I would like to get it off the screen of things I still need to sort.

Nice start, thanks for doing this. I usually use the prism tool in EveHQ for this, but that's a huge clunky app. It does at least let you pick a container though rather than the entire hangar contents, I'd like to see that.

The only way the program can see your assets is with the full API. Why don't you go to the EVE api page and do some reading. Let me quote for you:
Quote:
Is this safe? Can someone steal my account?
It is safe to provide your user ID and API key to applications and web sites as long as you are prepared to allow the application or web site to see your character and corporation information.
Sharing your API key, full or limited, does NOT give people access to your account. Sharing your account password would. The API key only allows the recipient to view your character and corporation data but gives them NO control over it. They are NOT able to log in to the game or post on the forums with the API information. The API key is in no way generated from your account password - there is no way to calculate your password using this information.
This is the only safe way to give programs and web sites access to your data. Do not give out your account username or password to any person, program, or web site. Please keep in mind that doing so is a violation of the EULA and can lead to account termination.

Edited by: Mostlikely on 18/03/2010 09:14:45 Very nice work. I'd be very interested in (if possible) separate totals columns, a quantity column and a type column. The main thing I'm missing is 'quantity' of items being accounted for. For example 10mil units of veldspar might be more interesting than 10 units of veldspar but in the current 'per unit' setup they are in all ways equal.
-Totals columns: 11 new columns (3 price, 8 mineral, optional, default off), similar to the current 'pew unit' columns only multiplied by the quantity of the item type for the selected character-station. (When all-items is selected instead of the character you'd default the quantity to 1). -Quantity column: 1 new column (optional, default off), showing the quantity of the item in the selected character-station. -Type (number) column: 1 new column (optional, default on?), showing the type (number) used for the 'sort by type' button. The two sort by buttons can then be removed as you can sort anything you want using the column titles.
