Regarding errors when pulling prices: this should be on eve-central side, and i believe this is only temporary.

Any thoughts on adding support for querying corp assets? I use a corp of one and then keep loot in corp hangars so I can separate out stuff to keep/sell from that to refine etc using divisions. Because of this eve refinery sees very little of my assets.

There's an easy workarond: dump your assets to hangar if you're going to process them anyway. Otherwise, your idea seems reasonable, but below the level that is required to stop being lazy :)

Hey ,
Nice app . Best I've seen in a long time . Is there a way to export the numbers correctly In the CSV export the numbers are exported as text . This makes it difficult to work with them in XLS

Data in CSV format doesn't have any attributes, such as number or string. You set it when you import into xls. You can also change data formatting after importing.
As for price per item, you can uncheck '12' button on toolbar.

Cool tool, there's a big need for it. A while ago, I did these calculations by hand for a ton of modules I hoarded from L4 missions and made a nice system to keep the list of 'salvage only' modules available in game. Wanting to see if market prices may have changed for certain modules, I tried out your tool and mostly found it to be in agreement. So, great job and good work.
Problems. I'm using Jita as mineral/market pricing, and generally use median sell price for comparison. (I see that I need to use median all for most of these numbers to make sense.) Some modules have very unrealistic price points being reported by your app(I don't know if this is your fault or the market aggregator's)
In general I found that your app doesn't throw out the crazy transactions that always mess up calculations... or it doesn't calculate medians correctly. This messed up items like "Fleeting Progressive Warp Scrambler" and "'Gloom' I White Noise Generator"
But really, only a few modules are affected this way so the tool still saves time(it just can't be trusted.)

I use http://www.eve-central.com/ for pricing. You can check item prices there for whatever items you find incorrect, and most probably you will see just the same there. Also, I don't calculate medians myself.
Should you find that prices are correct on the website, please send me a mail listing specific items and a screenshot.

This is great, just a pity you can't see the container names. As an enhancement it would also be nice to see a new column that shows what isk will be made from the refined minerals, a total for the minerals if sold for each row would be great. Then you could see if it is better to sell item or melt and sell minerals per item.

The container names are not provided by the api, ufortunately. As for melted prices, It has always been there, i wonder how did you manage to miss it.

The word noob comes to mind :) I made a bad assumption(can't read either apparently) that the mineral column was mineral amounts and not the mineral prices.
Now I am even more Grumpy... Again, Great tool

It doesn't seem to know the names of a lot of nullsec stations so you get "Unknown NNNNNNNN" for locations :(
Feature Request: retrieve the conquerable stations list from the eve API periodically.

I did notice that, simply too lazy to fix :) Also, i hold my breath for what happens on "Great news" topic. It's such a spit in my face. If they don't step back I think I'll abandon refinery tool.

Originally by: Tandada Great job! Just a thing to add to wishlist: any chance to perform price scan by station rather than region? I mean, I couldn't care less about min/max prices in the whole Forge, but I'd rather make my decision based on Jita prices only!
This. I would absolutely kill to have this LOL. However, I will settle for System even, instead of station-specific prices. I, also, don't give a waffle about the prices all over The Forge.
Originally by: Codeguard Prices based on station: i get prices from eve-central, and as far as i know there's no possibility to query prices fro ma station.
Yes, you can (for Systems). You can in Google spreadsheet anyways, for Jita, by querying:
=ImportXML("http://api.eve-central.com/api/marketstat?typeid=XXXXX&usesystem=30000142", "/evec_api/marketstat/type/sell/avg")
I'm assuming it wouldn't be hard to add this to your program code...? Heck, if you can even just tell me where I'd add/edit it in your folder - I'll do it myself ;)
:: EDIT :: I forgot the most important thing - THANK YOU for this incredible program!

Ok, I recognize that ability to filter prices would be useful. Since that's indeed possible, i think i'll implement this soon enough.
By the way, thanks everyone for donations, they really please me.

This might have been asked somewhere earlier in the thread, but why does the program advise me to refine items that sell for more than the minerals? Random example, 150mm light autocannon 1 gives me a refined cost of 4700, sell price 10K (rounded up both) yet it's marked green.
I might be missing something obvious here, but as is I don't get it.

This is an option that marks small losses green. You can see it in the bottom of appearance options.

What do you mean? You could select some character (provided you already entered api key) and location in the toolbar to see all the items for that character and location. Does that answer you?

Okay, we all know that T2 ships are always going to be better to sell, but it would be nice if they were in the item database anyway. After all, T2 modules are in the database and I've never seen them worth refining. -- I didn't say it was a good idea. I just said it'd be fun to watch. |

could we use market exports to get a little more accurate on the item prices. Eve-Market prices tend to be hours and days old.
