This looks fantastic! I'm very much looking forward to trying it out when I get home. I typically don't refine or sell on a daily basis, so I can end up with upwards of 100k m3 of loot in a hanger. This then takes forever to go through as I can never remember the names of meta 3+ items. |

The tool is great, very ergonomic functionality and nice presentation, thumbs up!
I just want to suggest, if it's not too hard to implement, to give the option of getting prices from eve metrics, because they have an upload tool that is easier to use, so sometimes their prices are more up to date. Even better would be to pull data from both sites and use the most recent for each item, but this would need more coding for sure.
Also a question, how is the average price calculated? is it weighted by number of items at each price?
Thanks for sharing this with us!

Edited by: Codeguard on 01/04/2010 04:16:58 Didn't even know about eve metrics, I'll see what can be done. As for average prices, that's what eve-central reports. I do not calculate it myself.

EvE-Central prices are worthless for the really relevant products. People learned to inject and taint the exports to take advantage off the unaware others who use those prices as Holy Grail. - Auditing & consulting

Yeah, another argument in favor of the meta-level filter. It lets you check prices yourself for things which are likely to have high sell prices (but eve central data may be wrong).

I down loaded tonight and tried looking at my current stuff. Went to assets and pulled down to high light my character. I received an error pop-up that said: Failed to update assets: Current security level not high enough.
Any help or advice would be appreciated.
Thank you

First, this is a great program. I've been using a spreadsheet to manually enter data, but this is by far much easier to get the total of all my ores from different stations.
I would like to be able to select multiple lines and be able to either get a total for each column of only those rows I selected somewhere. You could update the [Totals] row or put it down in the status bar.
It would also be useful to be able to copy selected lines to the clipboard and allow me to paste them into a spreadsheet.
Any chance the source code would be available? --------------------------------------------------
Programmers do not write documentation. If it was difficult to write, it should be difficult to understand. |

Copying and totals of selected both sound reasonable, so i think I'll do it next time I'm in mood to write some code :)

Edited by: Unforgived on 04/04/2010 19:03:01 ok, just a little summary here so I feel more assured I'm doing this right ;). Fiddling with it now. Setting active character name, the correct station, disabling assembled containers, ships and assembled items, and prices set to "the forge" and Buy Median. That should give me the correct prices according to Jita & the area around.
Anything else?

Mostly sounds correct, but make sure you really want to disable containers and assembled items - if you put items to a station container for example, you won't see it that way

Great program, thanks!
It is a shame about CCP putting a 24hr limit on fetching assets, also for grabbing can names.
Do we know why they have a limit on it, just because of the shear number of assets people have?
Anyway, a great program and keep it up :)

I think EVE introduces timeouts everywhere just to make life more difficult. I think everyone hates those - session timeouts on any action, timers on repetitive WH jumps, API timeouts and such

Edited by: Amytielle on 22/04/2010 16:50:46 Edited by: Amytielle on 22/04/2010 16:50:03 I encountered a difference with amount of minerals in the drone alloys. There are different values in the eve refinery compared to the eve client, modules are looking fine.
Anybody else seen this? Or did I just overlooked something.

Edited by: Codeguard on 22/04/2010 21:57:46 It is most likely due to you setting incorrect refining rate. See refining calc in options. Also, the specialty skills are different for different refined stuff. This could also be the case, if you set a specialty skill for incorrect stuff type.

Ok, the issue is confirmed. Unfortunately that doesn't appear to be the bug of EveRefinery and rather the bug in CCP's database dump. Yet again it looks like we can't do anything but say "oh well it's CCP". I'll try to cope with it somehow.

According to various threads, this data dump bug relates to drone alloys and nothing else. I'll double check if i find the way, of course.

Loving the program. I had a load of loot building up and with this I flew through sorting it. One little thing that would make it even better would be the ability to remove or hide items from display. I know that you can only update once a day but with this you could hide stuff that you had already sold/refined or even just sorted. Hope you can add this and thanks for this great tool

Um, silly question, maybe, but is this a CCP approved app? (TOS, 14: "You may not post or distribute emulators, software tools or utilities related to EVE Online without the express written permission of CCP.") And I wouldn't want to download a keylogger or some such. ;)
It looks like a fantastic program, though, to be honest. My indy alt would be very happy to use it! It's just the tool I've wanted to see developed for ages! So, I hope CCP can give some official comment on this. -- Gorgeous, delicious, deculture! |

Their comment will of course be nice. However, i asked them privately already, and their position was that if you solely use EVE API, that's ok. My program does exactly that - it uses officially provided EVE API and officially provided database dump.
