Originally by: Milhibethjida However, I'd like to ask for your advice: Most of my stuff qualifies as green (refine over sell), even though the loss % is 50% or higher (up to > 90% in rare cases) for the vast majority of items. I chose The Forge prices and Sell Median as settings, and I left the color coding at default values (red if <= 50% of sell price, green if >= 100% of sell price). Refinery Efficiency is at 100%, tax at 0%. At the same time, there are other items with a loss percentage of 50% or lower that show a blood red background. This seems to be a contradiction (some items being green while others being red at the same Loss % or even lower Loss % than other items with green background). Could you please point out how to correctly interpret your color coding in combination with Loss % and Delta?
This is most likely due to small ISK losses. There's a cutoff value seen in options. If you lose only 1 isk per batch, who cares if it's 1% loss or 99% loss?
Originally by: Hanneshannes I do have a question about a thing I never worried about before though:
[The question is about "Station refining equipment" slider in options]
Different stations have different equipment. Even in empire, you will see stations having no refinery, having smth around 37.5% base yield and 50% base yield. This is especially important if you're using an outpost.

Thank you, this seems to be the case.
A feature I would like to request: Could you please enhance the tool so that it would become possible to compare two different price settings (with only one of them influencing colour coding, Delta, Loss% etc. of course)? For example, if I wanted to sell or refine my collection of 125mm Railgun I's, the "BuyMax"-setting would clearly tell me to refine, wheras the "SellMedian"-setting would keep me from doing so. The reason (in this particular example) is the great difference between the median sell price and the maximum ISK sum that players are usually bidding when entering buy orders. It would be helpful if I could compare those two settings (or any other two settings, for that matter) while still seeing my refinery cost, just to keep me from refining the rather valuable stuff because I had the wrong setting selected at the time.

I don't quite get it. If you decide based on one of the price types, why would you need the second? If you decide based on second, just switch to it?

For example: Suppose I want to know if I should refine or sell my 'Malkuth' Rocket Launcher I modules. I decide to use BuyMax as the base of my calculations and EveRefinery tells me to refine the modules (the Delta is 11 802.45 ISK). However, when using SellMedian, the Delta changes to -153 674.85 ISK. So in this case, using BuyMax would cost me more than 140 000 ISK of profit. Had I had the opportunity to compare the two settings, I could have avoided the loss (granted, it would also be possible to simply switch between the two, but doing so for every item of interest would pretty soon become tedious, thus the request of adding some kind of comparison feature).
Basically, it would be a convenient addon to an already great program.

Edited by: Codeguard on 21/05/2010 11:40:21 Even if this is to be implemented, it would be done at a low priority, as i don't feel this is in demand. So far, you could consider two-passing all items.
I should also note that the root of your problems should be using incorrect price type, ie BuyMax, while you actually want SellMedian.

Updates are out: new Tyrannis data (whatever it is) and Meta Level column. Too lazy to do anything else, sorry :)

Great program, too bad for tha API lockout stuff, I'd like to request support for user defined API caching proxies so that people can avoid having the program lock the API for other programs that have no support

As far as i know asset API's are no longer locked out. They simply return the old data until the cache time expires.

Hey nice program man! I did the same thing but with excel files. Your method seems to take less work though. Nicely done!

Salute!
I just wanted to pass along my thanks for a great program. I was a bit confused with all the data available, but eventually made sense of it all. That is just a newb trying to get a grasp on this Eve universe for the most part.
One of the most useful apps I have found yet. I think I need like five screens to run various apps and the game client at the same time. LOL
Thank you for putting your time into a useful app for the community.

PS: Honestly I don't put so much effort into it, now that I'm pretty much satisfied with the program and I've always been lazy :)

I've been looking for an app to help me divide loot when running missions with a buddy. I normally figure sell & refine prices of loot and salvage, give my buddy cash, then sell the loot at my leisure.
This app is useful in that regard, but it would be so much better if I could check all the stuff that I would refine and get a total then all the stuff that is to be sold to get a total as well as salvage and other non-refinable items.

Throw my name in for a request to be able to filter items by meta level (ex, only see meta 4 items) and type (like only modules or charges).

If there's a single price for an item sold in region, then obviously, all sorts of medians, averages an min-max will show the same number.

I must be doing something wrong. I don't understand what this program is trying to tell me. Practically everything comes up as green, whether the sell price is higher than the refined cost or lower. The "appearance" settings are still at their defaults, yet the program isn't really giving me any useful information.
Any help would be appreciated!
