Bumpity, and requesting a "summary screen" so we can see the totals at each station. FYI, mousewheeling through the station filter is almost nice, but jarring on the eyes and unsorted. You can still see where should be visited next though...

Originally by: Stark Midular Practically everything comes up as green, whether the sell price is higher than the refined cost or lower.
Green = safe to refine at refining % set in options. As for almost everything in green... There's a threshold that colors small cheap stacks green, even if they're slightly more profitable to sell. If that is not the case, you could send a screenshot to my e-mail and i'll help you figure.

While i could see a slight improvement, i believe it would be too minor to fight my laziness :)

Codeguard,
I have emailed those screenshots to you and look forward to your response. The tool looks great - if I can just get it working right!

Like I suspected, there was no mistake. The issue was about too small stacks, where profits of selling were only around 5.000isk, hence below threshold on Appearance page of options.

Fantastic piece of software, blighted only by the 24 hour API access issue, which isn't Codegaurd's fault anyway.
No longer will I have to trawl through laggy market screens valuing my crap!

This little program is fantastic!
I never knew how to sort out the hundreds of ship parts laying around in station containers for ones of value without spending days at it.
In just a matter of minutes your program reduces my station containers to meaningful lists of items to sell off.
Thanks for making this great tool.

This tool looks nice. I will give it a try tonite
Oh one thing I didnt see in the screenshot what would be useful though. Could you implement a meta level column?

Very minor spelling issue.
In the Settings menu above the % of sell price slide bars
The word "Then" should be "Than"
Other than that, well done.

Is there an option to remove the non-market items from the list?

This is a great app. Thx u for saving me tons of time lol. Is it a rock? Point a Lazer at it and profit. Is it a ship? Point a Lazer at it and profit. I dont realy see any differnces here. |

Seems useful, too bad it won't run on Linux-based (or other) operating systems.
Does anyone here know a replacement that is more portable ? If not, I can make my own, I just don't want to recreate the wheel (and waste some time). But yeah, you are obviously interested in my post because you're now reading my signature.

I'll fix spelling when i'm out of laziness. I don't think there's a need to hide Non-market items since that will make things a bit obscure. As for linux... I think Eve won't run on linux either? If you run it via some emulator, it should allow .net as well.

Originally by: Milhibethjida For example: Suppose I want to know if I should refine or sell my 'Malkuth' Rocket Launcher I modules. I decide to use BuyMax as the base of my calculations and EveRefinery tells me to refine the modules (the Delta is 11 802.45 ISK). However, when using SellMedian, the Delta changes to -153 674.85 ISK. So in this case, using BuyMax would cost me more than 140 000 ISK of profit. Had I had the opportunity to compare the two settings, I could have avoided the loss (granted, it would also be possible to simply switch between the two, but doing so for every item of interest would pretty soon become tedious, thus the request of adding some kind of comparison feature).
Basically, it would be a convenient addon to an already great program.
the program allows for multiple instances to be run. So a work around is to simply run the application twice and use different settings for the instances.

To complicate things, they made a version for Linux

As far as i understand it runs on wine, so it's not a linux version really. On the other hand, i googled and it seems that .net won't install well on wine, but i didn't try it myself.

Yes, EVE runs very nicely with wine, but the .net framework just won't.
So, I wrote a replacement (in command line) that pretty much does the same thing. See this thread for more details : evert - saving time for mission runners So now I can quickly see which items are worth selling or worth reprocessing, and ofcourse everything is customizable :) But yeah, you are obviously interested in my post because you're now reading my signature.

Ok, let's suppose you love linux so much to even play games on it :) Why don't you install a virtual machine with windows and do stuff there?

Edited by: Jerera on 18/08/2010 10:19:40 It's neither easy nor convenient.
- It requires actually owning Windows.
- It takes a lot of time to set up.
- It's slow.
But hey, your piece of software looks really useful for those who aren't comfortable using the CLI. And it's opensource, so you get a big thumb up there But yeah, you are obviously interested in my post because you're now reading my signature.

It's nice in that it appears to have found a scorpion I never knew I had. But it does not find any T2/T3 ships.

great tool!
Just noticed something though and either I'm being stupid or there's a slight bug..
When quantity goes into the thousands, the app treats (for example) 1,512 as 1.512
i.e. 1512 is seen as 1.512
throwing out total valuations (still useful for comparison though)

Edited by: Codeguard on 30/08/2010 19:43:44 This is very strange. At the moment, thousands are separated with spaces, not dots or commas. You can as well see that in the head of this post. Please send a screenshot to my e-mail so we can figure out what happened.

This is awesome.
However, i'd like to request some features.
-autoupdater (if it doesn't have already) -let us get rid of certain items (micro-sized, t2, etc.)
there was at least one other thing.
Anyways, this works and it's awesome, just some suggestions, thanks so much!

Autoupdater is already there, and has always been. I simply haven't issued any updates lately. T2 items are hidden already. Small stacks are shown green.
