One thing that has always irked me about this game is the some what "remote" feeling I get when activating prop mods on my ships. What I mean is that I don't have full control over when I can turn my module off. instead I have to wait till the duration of the current "pulse" ends which to me seems like a fairly clunky and extremely non immersive mechanic.
What I propose is to shrink the duration down to 1 second and scale the amount of cap usage down to this 1 second duration to maintain the current cap/s consumption rates that we have atm. A change to the afterburner skill will also be required... Changing it from a duration increase to a reduction to cap usage will in the end have the same net effect.
Again this proposed change is designed to allow for more "control" over your spaceship. Flame on!! |

Server is run on 1 second ticks so i guess "instant" would have more or less the same result as a 1 second duration.

Just make them work like strip miners
Turning them on costs full cap ammount but if you want to turn them off early they will. |

This would be the ideal solution. You also have to keep in mind the cloak+MWD trick. If you make MWDs a 1s cycle, it would completely break cloak+MWD. |
