Xiaolung, you mentioned you had this working under CrossOver. I've got CrossOver Games - can I just run the EveMon and EFT installers and have things work? Or am I better to pull down the full bottles that Demetrius made and use them independently?

According to Codeweavers, EVEMon only gets a Bronze Medal, meaning it will run, barely. It used to not run at all because they put code in their app that prevents a lot of the .NET stuff(a technical term) from functioning properly.
I would recommend going with the bottled versions that you can run in Wine. _____________________________ http://twitter.com/krispy_dingo http://krispydingo.com |

Edited by: Demetrius DeVolnay on 17/10/2010 07:52:36 @Bongo0: I just tried the links, they are working for me right now. Strange behavior.
Also, yes I would recommend using the bottles. *Should* be more stable.

Strange.
First time I ran EveMon, it all worked mostly fine. Except that every so often I get a small notification dialog box that contains nothing other than a disabled close/min/grow buttons in the title bar and a small purple lightbulb. All I can do is click on the light-bulb to close it (I can also drag the window around using title bar, but nothing else).
Restarting, it still works mostly fine, except that the pane containing the training list box/table on the skills planning pane has decided that it wants to take up about 50% of the available space, and refuses to bind to the right and bottom border of the window. Very strange. Restarting a couple more times hasn't fixed this. |

So how do you right-click in the skill planner to manage things such as priority? Right-click works on the main Evemon window.
And thanks much for the updated winebottler package!

It's a little funky how you do it, but right click does work.
You need to first select the skill in the window, then right click on the top bar (Where it shows "Skill Name", "Training Time", et al).
See pic for a visual representation.

with EFT, left click on the module, right click anywhere off the module, either blank space or on the stats, then right click on the module again.
price updating should work ok without doing anything special. just make sure you close the info window after updating price, then reopen it. _____________________________ http://twitter.com/krispy_dingo http://krispydingo.com |

yes, it works just fine. I wasn't even aware of the existence of this program, very nice.
open winebottler, create new prefix, create from copy is in the drop down where it says "new prefix" select your prefix for EVEMon, no need to go through everything creating a new. Select the downloaded file at the top, and check the box that says "copy only".
Let winebottler do its thing. When it is done, launch EVEPlanetaryPlanner. After it is up and running, open Finder, navigate to
~/Library/Application Support/Wine/prefixes/EVEPlanetaryPlanner/drive_c/winebottler
and drop the PlantaryInteraction.xml file there.
Close and relaunch and you should be good to go. _____________________________ http://twitter.com/krispy_dingo http://krispydingo.com |

All of a sudden, my bottled EveMon won't launch. EFT still launches, but EveMon just kicks X11 into gear and then stops.
Console log isn't overly helpful: C:\Program Files\EVEMon\EVEMon.exe
Any ideas? Any useful log files hidden somewhere?

I have some sad news about EVEMon through Wine.
Yesterday, I downloaded the latest snapshot and dropped it into my install folder.
When I launched, I received this popup:
It looks like, until Wine moves up to using .net 4.0, we are SOL.
Unless someone knows how to get the installer for .net 4.0 to actually work. _____________________________ http://twitter.com/krispy_dingo http://krispydingo.com |

I tried to to this, and the right click worked, but the "remove from queue" option was grayed out. Any idea why?

Is anyone else having issues changing ammo or cap booster charges? How the heck do you do it? (talking about the EFT)

You have to right click on the right side of the module first, and then come back and right click on the left side. I don't know why, but that's how it works. - - - - - - And another one gone, and another one gone, another one bites the dust...

I logged in here to ask exactly the same thing, but you beat me to it eXelerOn.
It seems there is no .NET 4 available for Wine yet.

I'm using the Wine version that shipped with the WineBottler to run EFT. My problem is that EFT doesn't seem to recognize right mouse button clicks on turrets, so I can't change the ammunition in turrets, while it does recognize right mouse button clicks in other locations - like items in the equipment browser to the left.
Did anyone ever have the same problem?

Been using the bottled version for a while now, with minimal issues. The just yesterday it started to throw unrecoverable exceptions. Is anyone else still using this, and have you seen similar symptoms?
I tried resetting it and coming back, but the issue occurred again as soon as my account tried to load.
(Unless it's the ORE Industrial in my alts training queue?)
