As a relatively new player I've notice a lot of you are hung up on how things use to be in EVE. You sound like a bunch of old people longing for the good-old-days.
EVE is constantly evolving. For better or worse that will never change. Get with the times. ___________________________________________________ CSM - Bring back Medium Shader! |

LOL I had forgotten all about those, but yeah, they were pretty cool when I first started playing :) =======

There's a reason why people want some of the old stuff back. I'm a fairly new player as well, but it's not hard to see the game was much more fun back then, and why.

The one thing I REALLY want back was the Warp sound and effect from before Apocrypha (Quantum Rise). The current one isn't so fancy ________________________

6 years I've been playing Eve. Seen ups, seen downs. Constantly evolving, yes. For better or worse, yes.
I want people to experience the "better" though, and when a change removes an aspect of something I find more enjoyable, the game has lost something that makes it special and I want to say so. Maybe encourage a rethink or a future change.
And I am still "with the times." Thats why I'm still here. Each patch comes, I adapt and change my playstyle accordingly. Let me tell CCP and others what my experience of the different playstyles were like, and maybe they can use that to change the game for the better.
We learn from the past, you shouldnt ignore it.
If CCP made change after change that took fun out of the game and noone spoke up, Eve would be a much worse game because of it.

True. I think I may start a thread complaining that EVE is not as good as it will be -- And that every time I check it still isn't as good as it will be in the future. Where's the justice in that, I ask? -- Nam Sibyllam quidem Cumis ego ipse oculis meis vidi in ampulla pendere... |

Just remember - EVE is constantly evolving. For better or worse that will never change. Get with the times.

youngsters
yes the game is evolving, yes things have changed (some for the good and better others not)
But if we didnt point out where changes made were wrong or aspects of the game dropped incorrectly then we wouldnt care as much about the game than we do,
and also dont forget its the playerbase that makes Eve, old timers included and more so, as we helped shape the game that you youngsters are playing now

OP ignore the vets, everything used to be better back in the old days just like the grass is always greener on the other side. They just use it as a means to justify how much eve online (or their life) sucks.

If you had the opportunity to play this game between 2005-2007, you would have seen how much more fun it was. Maybe it had less stuff, maybe even less balanced, but there was certainly more excitement
EVE is evolving, just like a 60 year old man is evolving into 80 year old
