Using current version of PI with an elite Command center, I am extracting all 5 raw types of ore, i'm turning all 5 into Tier 1 Intermediates, Then turning those into 2 Advanced minerals, (theres also biofuel on the right that goes straight out to launchpad as i dont have anything to react it against on this planet so im just exporting it.
So i'm pulling all 5 bases, from a total of... 12 completely different mineral deposits
just thought i'd share :)

I've done the same on Tierijev III.
I'd place another Base Metal extractor however it says that my route exceeds the number of allowable links. -

ya i've had that issue before :) theirs ways around it, route it to somewhere closer, then go to that and then route from their to the final destination, i was trying to route direct from extractor to processor couldnt, so had it route to CC then from their to the processor, and on a different path went from extractor to storage to processor and it worked, its kinda stupid really
why is it i cant create the path through the storage as transit, but if i split the route in 2 it works ....
plus storage bins tend to help me if theirs a back up in the supply chain etc.

I've had that problem with the max way points deal too and from what I understand you can only have a max of 7 way points. Any more than 7 and you wont be able to route your product.

Yes, you can only route a maximum of (6) "hops". On one of the gas planets, I setup a strip mine of:
E--E--E----E---E---E---E---FAC---E--E---E
The extractor on the left end is 1 hop too far in order to route its output to the factory/processor (7 hops to get to the destination). As others have stated, the solution is either to jump over one of the middle extractors (shorten the chain) or move the factory a few links to the left so that is more in the middle of everything.
