You'll get some sense of scale then trust me.
You watched Clear Skies 2....
You know, interacting with titans isnt all that uncommon nowadays and they are very common logistical tools, and i can confirm, sitting in a bs next to one waiting to be bridged, your are minute in comparison.

True. In fact, anyone can just scoot over to Luminaire with whatever (subcap) ship they want to compare and have a looką ——— “If you're not willing to fight for what you have in ≡v≡… you don't deserve it, and you will lose it.” — Karath Piki |

Originally by: Zandmannetje Well I think this one of the parts EVE really should improve on as it would make it a lot more special. The fact that I feel my Frigate is just as big as my battleship screws up all of the great programming making the real scales.
There are a couple of things that for example could be done to actually make the brain aware of the size of something.
Stuff like: - Fog - entering station from a human point of view, 'driving up' to your ship to enter it from a human point of view. - Real docking maneuvres!! (would be great) altough did would need eve finally getting a better collide system.

Stop freaking worrying about why things the developers did 5 years and more ago no longer make sense. |

To think such large star ships have a single pilot, when in reality they'd need to have up to a dozen, to dozens to hundreds if not for the larger ships thousands to tens of thousands and more as their crews/complements.
Having a single pilot doesn't mean having a crew of one.
Maybe not, but only one ever escapes when it blows up.

Most pod pilots don't care and send out automatic messages to all their families including compensation.
When in fact many _do_ survive and end up signing up for a new ship crew. (Hint; it's called back story)

Its the CAMERA
Observe the Stabber at a caldari station undock: Eve size: http://img203.imageshack.us/img203/7072/this2.png REAL size: http://img217.imageshack.us/img217/4223/thisnz.png
This is done by holding CTRL and pushing both mouse buttons and dragging. Once you are completely zoomed in on your ship, zoom out with the scroll wheel.
That is the true size of stuff in Eve. Try it yourself, and next to a titan if possible. __________________________________________

i've been playing around with the camera too, and you can get some nice scenery done that way. i really wish there'd be a setting where you could switch camera modes to show the true scale

I really think they should change it to be closer to that. I hate how everything feels so small all the time. --- All 392 skills trained.

I know of a way that you can get a good idea of how big your ships are. Simply leave your ship in a pod and fly around it. I've flown around in my pod a few times and passed pretty close to some big ships, it's interesting.
Just be sure to let me know when and where you do this. I just want to watch, nothing more...
