Talking here about PVE!!!! ships....faction/normal/T2 (those have ofc only 2 rig slots,changes alot).CNR-Scorpion-Shield tanked Domis-anything shield.To use with T2 launchers/T2 dmg ammo (furies).Battleship size only-cruise only!With exception maybe T3 fits-HML/HAM with T2 launchers and ammo....Your opinions? Parrots! |

Stoic: since I know you took the time to run a ton of the numbers...what do your results show about the effectiveness of 2x Rigor II + 1x Flare I + 1x faction TP? How does that compare to 1x Rigor II + 2x Rigor I + 1x faction TP?

2xRigor IIs + Flare I: probably not worth the cost of having a 2nd T2 rig.

Npcs DO GET sig bloom when mwding /flying at "max velocity"/. That means "max velocity" numbers are in most cases incorrect - they are only right if your missile hits npc just when it turns off mwd and its still at top speed. |

I'm beginning to think that NPC MWD bloom is random or that some NPCs use ABs and some use MWDs. But, yes, if MWD bloom happens and given the ancedotal evidence, then you'll probably hit as hard if not harder when the NPC is at max velocity.
Someone(tm) really needs to empirically test NPC MWD bloom. Testing on belt rats is probably the easiest way, no?

Edited by: KayC Rage on 05/05/2010 18:40:08 I tested it - npcs "sometimes" use mwd - when they are out of optimal /orbit range/. Sometimes they just pulse it, sometimes they run it longer, i have no idea what its based on.
And you hit them much harder with missiles when they are mwding /and they mitigate much more damage when they turn off mwd but still have speed/.

Okay, ill answer the first part.
Let A = explosion velocity B = Explosion radius.
Missile calculation has two parts....approximately..
Min(1,X/B , Y*(A*(1/B))^Z)
so the only thing that matters is your part 1= X/B, part 2 = A/B
3 Rigors means 45% reduction in B Flare means less reduction in B. Rigors>Flare. for part 1
Part 2 = A/B 3 Rigors means 45% reduction in B gives me A/0.55B = 1.818A/B 2 Rigors means 30% reduction in b,15% increase in A gives me 1.15A/0.7B = 1.543A/B 1 Rigor/2F means 15% reduction in b, 30% increase in A gives me 1.30A/0.85B = 1.529A/B 3 Flares gives me 45% increse in A gives me 1.45A/B
So since A/B can be anything positive , that means 3 rigors> everything in part1/2. Therefore its always good.

You're spending 100mil++ for a slightly worse bonus (3x T1 Rigor's 0.85^3 = 0.614 vs 2x T2 Rigor's 0.8^2 = 0.64), just to fit a T1 EM Screen Reinforcer? Hoooookayy
