Could it be that they grew from the prospects of being a great and powerful Southern Coalition Alliance that helps to dominate Eve and then they hit the wall that is the Northern Coalition and realized they aren't that great and here is their downfall!?

Could it be that you started writing your post and thought it would be a good idea and then realized that you dont have any clew about sys-k and just filled it with some crappy fail-information.

Actually yes, there was many up there. I ran into a few once in a while, well more like daily for a short time there near the end. I saw some there that I did not expect to ever see that far North, weird to see them so far up.

Not a fail cascade per se.
Short version: Sys-K decided that in our current state, the war for Esoteria made no sense. We abandoned Esoteria, moved to our holdings in Period Basis, and parted ways with around half our corps. Sys-K's current goal is to rebuild as a smaller and more PvP-centric alliance.
Edit: Also, confirmed that Sys-K never went north. You may have seen some I.NET in Syndicate; as a corp, they moved there a bit over a month ago.

So in another words, you lost the war to C0VEN and decide to move, and in the process loosing most of your corps.

Yes, and partially. To my knowledge, a couple corps chose to leave, several were asked to leave based on perceived combat performance, and one was asked to leave due to interpersonal issues.
Edit: if you're interested in the details, the entire thing is rehashed ad nauseum on the kugu boards.

Edited by: captain dirka on 20/05/2010 06:43:59 long story short, liam left the game, sysk had no leadership for god knows how long, ******s took control of said alliance. alliance was completely incapable of fending off coven / se. new leadership had emo rage and kicked several corps, a couple in the middle of CTAs. sysk friends and "pets" didnt even see them as suitable to go and support. sysk now is in a full retreat in the guise of "helping IT defend delve from PL". which i found laughable seeing as they couldn't fend off coven/se.
i hope the cliff notes were of help/use. ty plz come again
also forgot to add sysk bans use of its own alliance chat due to "spys"

Our Lemmings are all gone. Someone left the gate open and they all ran out, headed straight for the nearest cliff and jumped. You know how lemmings are.
We have decided not to adopt any more lemmings. They may be cute and cuddly, but they really are more trouble than they are worth.
From now on, we're just keeping Rottweilers.

why the fail cascade?
I'd not normally post here but I'll explain it as best I can and then the trolls can go to work.
Some months ago, a decision was made by the then Alliance leadership to change to a quantity over quality approach to recruitment. This had repercussions when c0ven and SE decided to attack our soverignty. CTAs would be called with fleet composition focus on Sniper Battleships and alot of corp's members where turning up in T1 Cruisers/Battlecruisers or not turning up at all. Similary, despite our having a large number of Dreads and Carriers, Corps and/or their members where unwilling to commit them meaning we where outmached in the Capital department. There was also a communications break down between Primary and Sys-K (this was our fault, not theirs) resulting in them often not knowing about CTAs undermining their attempts to help us. When we lost A1, a decision was made to pull back to our Period Basis holdings and get back to our roots as a PvP Alliance. The interium Leadership made a decision of who should stay and who should go, based upon several factors:
1. Did they bring the right ships to fleets? 2. Where these ships fitted correctly? 3. Size of their Cap fleet and willingness to field it. 4. Was their primary focus on PvP?
Each corp. not chosen to remain where told the reasons why, asked to turn over the station to our infrastructure Corp. and given a default five day withdrawl time with extensions given upon request and help offered to evac assets. A couple of Corps decided to leave of their own volition. The majority of CEOs whilst obviously disapointed, where understanding and co-operated with our requests. Two were not. This resulted in our having to take back one of our own stations in Period Basis with a little help from our friends in LR and RKK (thank you to both).
Our focus now is on securing our Period Basis holdings and bringing the fun back to our burnt out pilots. I'll not deny Systematic Chaos was on the verge of a fail cascade but contrary to the belief that we did, these steps allowed us to keep the core of the Alliance together and prevented that very thing from happening. Hopefully over the comming months, you'll see a very different Systematic Chaos from the one we were prior to these changes. Across the galaxy there is only war. |

Excuse me John, but I fail to understand the point of your argument; you see, the math just doesn't add up properly.
You say sys-k was a pvp alliance and you had fun at that time, then other corps (on which you are putting the blame) came and joined you and the alliances failed because of lack of participation.
I ask myself, what happened to the original pilots, the ones that were attending the fleet fights in the beginning. You see, if these remained then it should not be a problem to field the proper numbers and kit. If you were having 200 pilots in fleet out of an alliance membership of 1000, you still (in theory) should be able to field 200 pilots out of an alliance of 4000, 10000, etc. I grant you the fact that with a larger member base you could have fielded 2 fleets.
Besides, you needed these corps to keep space for you.
So I donÆt think you are addressing the right reasons for your demise by saying that other corps were not good for you.
I was in sys-k 2 times. First when it was an ôeliteö pvp unit, then in the past months when all the ôcarebearö corps joined. I noticed a marked improvement in the experience of living in Esoteria. My first experience was very sad, markets empty, having to jump a million jumps just to buy anything, etc, etc. The second time around it was very nice, markets were healthy with very good prices, organised systems and rules, etc. It was nice. So these corps actually made you good.
I suggest you look at the length that you, as an alliance had been engaged in warfare. It must have been for over 6 months of continuous CTAs, I mean continuous. At that rate, any pilot needs to rat to get back stuff and you ended up with pilots without ships and isk. I think that was the reason.
Fly safe.

You do know we have and will always live in the north to right? Only leave for road trips.
So... bit confused by your question there. We don't plan on invading ourselves. That's what downtime is for.

Sadly this is true, i had to leave nearly without notice all the stressfull things i was doing in eve, added to the problems in rl it was ruining my health, due to that i had no time to fix up a new leadership before leaving, let's say that what happened lately is mostly my fault
