I am currently looking for a salvaging corp that can assist me on lvl4 missions. Its no longer worth my time to salvage but hate leaving isk in space. I've searched the boards but haven't located any salvaging corps. Does anyone have any suggestions/recommendations? I run missions mainly in Caldari space.

Not sure how to go about finding a pure salv corp (perhaps try asking in the in-game 'Recruitment' channel), but If you want to share what you now leave behind, asking in local if any one wants your salv should get you some offers.
Edit: Also, not sure if you're aware or not, but you can simply bm each mission room and trade them to the salver, so you can turn in your missions and continue running while said salver goes about his business. In the beginning, the Universe was created. This has angered numerous people for many different reasons and is widely considered as a 'bad move'. |

I would check the starter/low lvl agent systems and convo some of the new pilots. Wait until theyGÇÖve completed the tutorials and guide them to the skills needed for salvaging. They get a comparative huge isk boost while skilling up and you get the pick of the loot/some arraignment on payment based on mission. Give them a month in your service and then find another pilot for mutual gain

This is such a great suggestion and I wanted to add a little more. Incentives like this give a new pilot something to work towards and let them get their first taste of a mini profession. That player gets to work as part of a team thus limiting the feeling of being alone in this huge virtual world.
Just a great suggestion, Potato

Wow I did not know of that channel! That is a great resource for new pilots and a great way for older pilots to help out our wet behind the ear capsuleers. Zymurgist Community Representative CCP NA, EVE Online Contact Us at http://support.eveonline.com/pages/petitions/createpetition.aspx |

Careful with advertising in that channel. It attracts gankers as well as noobs. People who forgo salvage to blitz often have pimp boats. Don't be surprised to see seboed arty apocs parked off station in direction of a gate in your previously quiet system. A popular tactic is catching ships as they come out of warp but before docking.
This is Eve. No good deed shall go unpunished. Don't buy into the Devs' innocent acts. They would've filled the minor loopholes in game mechanics long ago had they actually wanted players to cooperate instead of being paranoid. How much work would it take to change value to warp to zero on station, or change highsec module drop rate to zero?
As it is, warming up to strangers and broadcasting your intention to be naive in a public channel is a bad idea. |

Saying "I am creating a ton of wrecks, would someone like to come loot and salvage them and then throw me some isk at the end" is not not being naive. It's being nice. . |

Being nice. Also an invitation to come investigating said fit that's creating a ton of wrecks. |

I've tried both suggestions, leaving bookmarks for others and offered to bring along 'new' players, both had drawbacks. Offering bookmarks to other players is viewed as a scam or worse yet a trap. Twice I've tried to work with 'new' players to help them along. Once I ended up with an attempted gank (failure on their part) the next time the person was actually new but wasn't able to keep up with the sites.
I know I've seen salvaging services advertised in local, I was hoping someone might know of a few of the corps.
Thanks |

It's inevitable, with game mechanics being what they are. Feel free to pester devs about it. Don't hold your breath though. Most of those aspects, like docking and aggro mechanics, and intentionally made so players avoid human contact in a mmo. |

Posting in local gets you no where, I have on occasion left all mission loot for the AE, WC, etc. I just leave it now when I am feeling lazy, which happens a lot |

The Free Wrecks channel is a good idea, but so is our public channel. We've usually a good number of new salvagers hanging out in there and mission hub coverage is pretty solid. We're not always scoundrels and might take you up on quality loot and salvage. If you blue the wrecks, we might even get to use our Ninja Nocti :) Recruiting is OPEN Please join our public channel The Ninja Dojo for more info |

I used to jetcan the BMs to missions outside the station I was running at. EG: name the can 'lvl4 Angel Extra 5 rooms' Then set the can blue, and just leave it there. Eventually someone will look in it.
Honestly it's just more trouble than it's worth. |

Honestly it's just more trouble than it's worth. Usually doing the same, especially when running a mission in one of the starter systems. However I think the OP intended to get a share of the loot/salvage, which is something I wouldn't expect from someone just grabbing my bookmark. Looking for more thoughts? If you aren't looting and salvaging, abandon all your wrecks and bookmark one of them just before you leave each room.
When you get back to station, jettison your bookmarks, rename the can to "free abandoned salvage bookmarks" and abandon it.
Someone will clean up your mess. It only takes a minute to warp to the bookmark, see the wrecks are blue, and start salvaging. If the wrecks are abandoned it can't be a trap. |

Even if not abandoned it doesn't have to be a trap, just salvage only. Looking for more thoughts? Read my blog or follow me on Twitter. |

I finally did find a salvage corp, they work on a 40/60 split. Pro Synergy is the corp name and 'the salvage crew' is their channel. They only work in a few systems at this time. Just sharing in case anyone else is interested. |

My corp uses lvl 4 salvage to bring our new players along. There is always a new recruit that will jump at the chance for lvl 4 salvage. They feel like they are getting rich, and it doesn't take long before they are equiped to start helping with lvl 4s. Look to make your own corp your salvage corp. The corp will be stronger for it. |

I wanted to get some feedback from the folks on this thread.
I'm looking at launching a corp for new players. As most of them do, I'll offer skills and ships and general advice to help new pilots along.
What I wanted to do though, was essentially run like a staffing firm, matching up new players with other Corps that are looking to expand.
Here's where you come in.
My thoughts for anyone interesting in general PVE/Missioning, was to start them off learning how to Salvage. I would then pair them with mission runners, ideally from a PVE missioning corp that is looking to expand.
They would get to salvage and make ISK beyond what their skills and standings would gain them entry to. They also could pick the brains of a high level mission runner and also get to know people in a recruiting corp.
The recruiting corps then get to feel out new recruits.
By offering this type of service I can bring two interested parties together, but filter out sets that may not match due to TZ requirements, personality or other general fit circumstances.
What are your thoughts on this? |
