Walter H. Bascom - you kinda get where this is going already since mostly everyone knows what im talking about by now but ill elaborate some anyhow in case the moderators or devs who live in iceland havent heard of walter bascom.
so a if someone like chribba is in a one person corp and alliance and another alliance of a huge number of people like say elysium alliance declares war on him isnt that a petionable offence i think ive seen in the forums that were not allowed to grief or single out people like ankh who is running for the csm by exploiting valid game mechanics like the forums or wardecs to gather griefing support does anyone have an opinion . If someone creates a single corp then they have made a choice, they know there's a possibility of a war-dec. It's why a lot of people stay in NPC corps to stay clear of them.

ccp already said that harassing noobs by ganking them or whatever isnt allowed and this isnt any different really since its circumstances are like identical - guy in noob system and hes being picked on by a whole alliance of hundreds so itseems unfair . If someone does not want to get a wardec then they should stay in an NPC corp. You can't allow someone to start a corp (regardless of how many people) and be immune to war-decs. There's already lots of 1 player corps springing up because of the 11% NPC Corp tax, even my character has one.
You get a choice: Player corp - Can receive a wardec. NPC Corp - Can not receive a wardec.
If you allowed 1 player corps to be immune from wardecs, the universe would be full of them.

Difference between a noob and chribba is that a noob doesn't get zounds of mercs on your ass if you wardec him. --------

What was said in Crime & Punishment some weeks ago that running an in-game event focused solely on the repeated destruction of a single player was questionable, at best. Had that event gone ahead it's quite likely the GMs would have made a ruling on it.
A war declaration on a one-man corporation or alliance doesn't seem to be an issue, but then again we may not have all the facts here.
Also, is there a petition filed with the GMs? If you have questions about what is or is not permissible, that's the most direct way to go. What you'll get on the forums is ultimately speculation, not an official decision.

What about an in-game event focused on the visible members of - to pick an example purely at random - an in-game political party for in-game political reasons?

Edited by: Swiftgaze on 23/05/2010 18:12:08 As stated in my C+P thread, there is a very good reason we are wardeccing Chribba. No griefing involved. If anything, we are fighting griefers.
I hope this helps. VOTE CAT

Thats just the thing though i didnt do the wardec or attnd the internal planning meetings so its not like i have a clue why it happened if i made a petition id just be wasting some GMs time becaues i don't have all the details

If you're referring to "CSMgeddon", and I assume you are, that would be an excellent question for the GMs. My understanding was that it would not be considered griefing, but it's not my place to make such decisions about gameplay issues.
