So now PI is there why not do something with the stars....maybe we can mine some fuel from stars with a advanced star command center that you can place in orbit.

Do you know that if you mine out certain minerals from sun, you can destabilize it ? ------------------------------------------------

the surface of a star like ours is about 5-6000c I dont think miners would last long

Just means Macro miners could harm more than the economy.

They could yield various flavors of antimatter, to be used in the construction of [god knows what new content]. The funky star varieties in wormhole space would be super valuable.

The only thing I could think of being a viable resource to gain from a star is (obviously) solar power. What one does with the stored product of solar energy in EVE is uncertain. Maybe something else could be used, but not much.

Hmm......lets replace ice mining isotopes for jump fuel with antimatter from stars. Eh that might not work so well just an idea but I would like to see some use of stars. More importantly I would like to see binaries, quasars, pulsars, and other celestial objects like blackholes to interact with. I don't mean a picture painted on the background with effects to ships, I'm talking about actual physical black holes that look like WHs. I would love to pvp on the edge of one Further you go in the faster your ship goes and you can always slingshot back out or something with the risk of accidentally falling into the hole and losing the fight as well as your ship and pod.

Kardashev scale
Type I ù a civilization that is able to harness all of the power available on a single planet ù has approximately 1016 or 1017 W available. Earth specifically has an available power of 1.74 + 1017 W (174 petawatts). Kardashev's original definition was 4 + 1012 W ù a "technological level close to the level presently attained on earth" ("presently" meaning 1964).
Type II ù a civilization that is able to harness all of the power available from a single star, approximately 4 + 1026 W. Again, this figure is variable; the Sun outputs approximately 3.86 + 1026 W. Kardashev's original definition was also 4 + 1026 W.
Type III ù a civilization that is able to harness all of the power available from a single galaxy, approximately 4 + 1037 W. This figure is extremely variable, since galaxies vary widely in size; the stated figure is the approximate power output of the Milky Way. Kardashev's original definition was also 4 + 1037 W.
the civilisation in eve should be Type II and Jovians Type III and yet we can do nothing with stars

I hope you meant 1.74x10^17W, 4x10^26W and so on because 4 kilowatts is nothing to shout at... |

gas giant ring mining and comet mining were the big things along with harvesting starts are fanfest as well As PI and CCP kinda nuked the first three and went with PI on its own
sad panda really
the main problem is u look on ccps website and they cant attract the staff they need even lead programmers for dust , those positions are still vacant
someting ccp might be attending to but the pace of their expansions seems to be slowing slightly Signature - CCP what this game needs is more variance in PVE aspects and a little bit less PVP focus, more content more varied level 1-4 missions more than just 10 per faction high sec low sec and 00 |
