It was glorious, I could here all the turret/launcher sounds, my hardeners, even my drones pew pewing... And what's more, if I zoomed out the sound faded away, EXACTLY as it is intended. Did I miss a thread on this, why isn't this a big deal? Or are all of you bittervets just used to playing eve on mute now?
Now it wasn't completely flawless, on gate jumps and even one or two station docks there was some kind of glitched sound that's hard to describe... But it's a small price to pay!!!

I too have to say I'm positively surprised, the sound is in fact a lot better.

Same here! I just ran a mission and I think it's the first time I've been able to both see and hear my lasers every time they fired! Good job CCP!

Can someone please do me a favor and check to see if this horrible problem has been fixed:
Does station music STILL play if music is turned down to zero in audio settings?
I won't be home for several hours. I need to know this. The hideous station music is what makes me play on mute, thus making me miss out on the sexy warp sounds. ____________________

What? It's not even 1.5 years after it broke and CCP already fixed it? Strange |

I only got to play for a few minutes last night, but it did seem like the sound was working. Hesitantly hopeful... I'll try flying a bigger ship with more people tonight and see if I can still hear anything.

Yup sounds seem to be fixed for combat which is rather nice. Plus all these other stealth fixes like the near instant responce times for mods and super quick undocking and jumping. But I wonder why they didn't mention it in the patch note? Could it be that instead of unintentionally breaking the game like the last expansion they unintentionally fixed it this time around?

Patch notes "Some of the audio crackling issues have been identified and exterminated. A ship explosion audio effect is only played once instead of thrice."
Overloading the audio channels.

Ahh must have missed that one due to the zillion other 'fixed inconsequential issues with some mission/ship/mod description noone ever reads' entries that bloat every set of final patch notes to russian novel length.

I won't be home for several hours. I need to know this. The hideous station music is what makes me play on mute, thus making me miss out on the sexy warp sounds.
1. There is no "music" in stations. That is, the sound that you're hearing is considered normal sound by the game.
2. My home station is an Amarr one and the obnoxious chanting wasn't noticeable after the patch.
3. Who the hell actually wants sound to go quiet when zooming out? This feature has ****ed me off to no end since I started playing four years ago. I zoom out to see more of the battlefield, I want more awareness of my surrounding not less (that means I want to hear sounds and very clearly and loudly if that's how I have them set in the first place).
But for the record, I only changed my sig because I was annoying myself with the last one.

Ok, I thought that obnoxious chanting was in-game music while docked in-station, lol (I'm in Amarr space also). It drove me nucking futs. Can't wait to see for myself its demise! ____________________

This. Plus give us the old decloaking sound back. There is definitely improvement in the sound with this patch though. Yay for that
