It should not. Beyond say 400 v 400, some new diminishing return mechanisms should make it pointless to call in the ever larger and larger blob till the node halts.

Disagree. Jita "size" is part of the problem, not of the solution. It bloodsucks life from the other hubs. Therefore it's laggy and like a black hole it literally "steals" those mods, implants and rigs so that in those systems they are fewer, the spreads grow larger and prices become less convenient.

Even if you don't like Jita, if you think changes (we are not sure if they are changes, which is the tragically idiotic part, could be a bug or some post patch temporary thing, since nobody from CCP has bothered to comment) are fine w/out documentation, dev blog or something, a freaking mention in the patch notes or anything at all then you are a ****ing idiot as well.

It makes me chuckle really. True, The cap may be a silly idea but the rage coming from some jita traders is just unbelievable! In conclusion the cap is a joke and a funny one at that...

Rens and Dodixie share the _1_ (old) server with the whole region. Rens and Dodixie have heavy nearby missioning (QEN shown missioning as an high server CPU usage activity). For Rens it's even worse because Minnies have limited hi sec so everyone and their dogs are forced in the nearby few systems like Emolgranlan.
Jita has been emptied of all the possible "extraneous" content not trading related, it's using the newest server, it's using 1 server for itself alone.

Jita has had 1000 player caps multiple times over the last few years. Always been temporary, almost always been after an expansion... and there have been far, far worse.
