CCP can do this in a snap. Lower the best mission bounties to like 100k for a BS and the reward/time bonus top out at about the 500k each. This will cause the loss of older mission runners(I won't make up a number or venture to guess what % of the EvE population that is)to give up on the game and will be a financial loss, maybe a considerable one or not, to CCP in the immediate future. But if the game continues to attract new blood they will slowly gain back those lost accounts depending on how many of those people have a taste for high level combat with high level risk to their character's assets. CCP just has to have the will to do this for their vision of what EvE should be.
I am a high sec mission runner. Its all I have time for anymore. I might make pretty good isk in the time I play(depending on what missions I get and If I run them correctly) that keeps me in some new toys and ammo. I've trained a lot of skills to get that isk number up so I can have something to work toward when I feel like logging on and blowing stuff up in space. This is what EvE is to me presently.
Many invoke CCP when talking about high sec mission and they aren't what they intended them to be. Well they are what they are because of CCP. If they wanted to change that the above will take care of it completely. I can only assume they haven't because they would have to make do with less money for some indeterminate amount of time.

The amount of players into "high risk PvP" is very, very small. EVE has a small niche for them and I'd guess most people interested in that have either tried EVE or are already playing EVE.
You're basically just saying to get rid of a portion of the playerbase for no reason. It would not fill up again with more hardcore players, it simply wouldn't fill up again.
But for the record, I only changed my sig because I was annoying myself with the last one.

hey i have a better idea, lets just remove concord, change all systems to null, eliminate stations, take away people's ability to buy and sell things, and have the log in screen just transition straight to your ship in space
that way it can be all pvp, all the time! like galaga but in 3D
reading these forums sometimes is like reading Call of Duty forums if anyone there was stupid enough to petition the makers to change all weapons to sniper rifles because that's what they like. just because you like pvp, or mining, or pve, or trading, or whatever, doesn't mean the game "needs" to be changed somehow to force everyone to play the part of it you like to the exclusion of all else
what i used to like about Eve was the way it let anyone play it the way they liked, and how it could be completely different games to different people. I thought that was very cool
but of course with every patch the game becomes more and more about pvp and less about anything else. which is great for people who were already in null but for the high sec people its a real turn off, and you are gonna see alot of people leave the game forever over this kind of thing
not whining, just saying

Lol, no. Bounty is the isk faucet. Who do you think buys deadspace mods? Or anything else that has an arbitrary value assigned to it, which is everything? Null plex runners, industrialists, salvagers, wh dwellers, and basically everyone do not create isk, they sell stuff in exchange for them. 100k BS bounty will cause rapid deflation and kill the economy, dragging in everyone involved.
Ever heard of the great depression? Where nothing worth anything, and no one has the money to buy anything? If mission grinders don't have isk, no one will. Because isk come from them, and filter up the pyramid, to which they're the base.

"Migration" will occur when people want to migrate - which may or (more likely) not have anything to do with mission rewards...

Yep, some (read: most) of eve's subscriber base will always stay in highsec just for safety. They'll migrate to another game before migrating to lowsec.

CCP needs player base! To keep quality of game high (money). And there are 100 times more casual player around the world than hardcore "high risk" players. Nintendo showed this and beat a monster like Sony based in "carebears" desire to have a bit of insta-fun (at least for a while).
We like to fight each other (yes, I love to pvp). But we need to take care of all the carebears and wellcome them with a lot of fun almost-safe content to keep CCP healthy and to us playing EVE.
adapt mate.

Most dont understand Ships have to blow up in this game for it to be successful. Its benificial to all to have more pvp action. What CCP need to concentrate on is making loss less painfull by making the economy more balanced. No one wants to loose a rigged Golem that they worked hard to get.
Balance has to be implace which allows replacement to not be so painfull and yet not making them to easy to replace. This is a tough job.
I think CCP is doing a great job at this with constant updates and new content.

Well that's kinda contradictory... You whine about ships being hard to replace, ccp gimps insurance payout, and you're calling it "great job?"
