I understand CCP's intentions with the changes to courier missions, but why is not more dangerous to do courier missions than it is to do combat missions? That is sheer lunacy.
Example 1. The SoE agent in gicodel now hands out courier missions 40% of which send you in your hauler to low sec. Not a single combat mission sends you out of high sec.
Example 2. The Modern Finance agent in B****lille now hands out courier missions 25% of which send you to low sec. Not a single combat mission sends you out of high sec.
We all know that the player in eve is infinitely more dangerous than the mission npcs in eve, so the risk vs reward for these courier missions is now seriously out of whack. CCP, this has to be wrong by any twisted attempt at logic !

Yes, it's ******ed. Utterly ******ed.
If they aren't going to change this stupid mechanic then they can at least change the agent decline timer to 15 minutes or something. -------- ¦ |

Who ever said being a courier in a universe at war is safe?

That's actually not it. The Tyrannis system want to send all missions to lowsec, the difference is the reach for combat mission is much shorter than for courier missions. If the agent system is far away from lowsec, combat missions won't reach it, but courier missions would.

Quote: Blockade runner transports are the fastest type of industrial available. Utilizing sturdy but lightweight construction materials and sacrificing some cargo space, these haulers are able to reach speeds greater than those of a cruiser while withstanding heavy fire - factors which make them ideal for zipping through dangerous territories with valuable cargo.

Nice troll but, not everyone can fly a BR. L3 and L4 combat missions can be done in a T1 ship why should a similar grade of courier mission require a T2 hauler? Also the relatively small cargo capacity of a BR may not cut it for these new courier missions. |

And a cute little issue of HICtors making BRs almost completely obsolete.

One thing I have noticed since Tyrannis launch is that the missions handed out by agents no longer seems to look at their division as much... I've had distribution and storage agents hand out three to four combat missions in a row to one corp-member. I've also received a level 2 mission that was going to send me 21 jumps to low-sec to salvage a guarded npc wreck for a measly 250k and a 15k implant...
I also got a mining mission from a caldari navy command agent... As far as I knew, they never give those out... |

It would make sense for haulers to be paid a ton of kredits to move goods through low-sec space. These captains take a huge risk, and should be compensated as such. More than combat pilots, I'd say. Or at least offered huge bonus rewards.
