Curse
The curse has no chance in hell. With a overheated domination point, you are in overheated fed navy web range. A dual webbed curse is much slower then a MWD-ing blaghorn and pointed as well... and perfectly tracked with Scorch (and droned for that matter). Even if you have TDs to keep it from hitting, they won't save you since in a few seconds the blaghorn is in heavy neutralizer range (30km instant cap erasure go go go) and then you're really really dead in a curse.
Up close you just get your cap erased, you're dual webbed and very soon you are extremely dead. Ditto Pilgrim. You people are forgetting who's faster when dual webs are applied and your propulsion mod, scram and stuff shuts off.

I'd agree with that.

Curse
Once, while I was busy looting and salvaging wrecks after a fight, a curse lands. He thinks hes smart so he mwds away and gets into maybe 30 km orbit... well. Salvaged into scraps sadly.
Overloaded TS webs - 39km.
A very easy workaround would be machariel with officer wd and loki alt. Kind of a cheat tho, not to mention isk involved. But it would definitely work. Whole problem is being out of bhaal's web reach while still being able to apply both dmg and tackle. Damps can get you there, in their own way. Cheaper and can be done with a single ship with enough medium slots, but it results in a comedy fit that you'll never meet or use otherwise. Also in this case it is VERY important to start the fight at sufficient range.

Easy!! scorpion! If he can not target you he can not nuet you nor can he fire. a scorpion with torps and ecm would be my choice..plus its cheap..so if you die so what..and they look bad ass now

Edited by: DXYOC on 02/06/2010 19:35:36 I'm sure you can fit scorp to permajam him. To posted below: What if he dosen't you can't prepare for anything. Scorp semmes the best bet due to its cheap and looks easy to do that 1vs1 with it.

ecm tanking is fine and dandy, but what if he puts ECCM's on?
Its a "preset encounter" he will definitely counter your fit.

With regards to the Lachesis/Celestis/Arazu counter, couldn't the Bhaalgorn just MWD straight at you, forcing you to use your own MWD, and eventually you'd cap out, shutting off your damps (and letting him lock you) or shutting off your MWD (letting him get within locking range.)

Also, with clever cycling (or dumb luck) the Bhaal can have his window of opportunity *way* before your estimated 100 seconds, you do not necessarily have to cycle them evenly.

I happen to have a Pilgrim and a Bhaalgorn. I'll see if I can arrange this fight. ;-)

Even with this, the Bhaal can probably get lucky and turn off the scram and get out, probably not get out of scram range with mwd burst to keep fighting though...
Also, the Bhaal can kite the Mach.... but then the Mach can use optimal scripts in the TD to force the Bhaal to 22-23km and it still wins the DPS race at all ranges (about 3 times more taking resists into account)as they have similar EHP.
So as soon as you bring an inty/arazu (they stay alive because of TD) that can keep the bhaal pinned its going to die.
Of course people don't fly their Machs like this, switching a plate for a gyro might be a good idea.
