Pyfa gives an incorrect figure, this is a known issue. See the Pyfa forum post.
EFT doesn't show the Gallente Battleship skill affecting the gun, so its figure for falloff is probably incorrect.
The Osmium figure is definitely accurate (18.8 km, rounded in the tooltip). You can see all the affectors are correctly there, and here's a screenshot of the fitting on TQ. http://o.smium.org/ GÇö v0.10.1 GÇö A browser-based fitting tool and loadout sharing platform |

Can't see what the hull bonus is when you check ship info anymore. <- Very annoying
Also, the new scroll bar when doing the fitting is kind of in the way of the button on the items in the search/browse area (though this did force me to discover that right clicking will open the same menu).
I really like this resource by the way, great work. |

The 4th picture looks kinda empty and hard to read because of the large gap between effect and type. I think it would be a lot more useable if you wouldnt spread it on the whole screen.
How about you display all 4 pages on the same page?
Aside from that it looks great. 97% of girls would die if Justin Bieber were about to jump off a cliff. Post this in your sig if you`re part of the 3% yelling,

It's there, in fact you can compute any derived attribute you want from other attributes. The interface for this isn't very user-friendly yet (you have to write the expression for the new attribute in reverse polish notation in the URI).

Thanks for the site! It's nice not having to download a new program (EFT etc...) to fit ships quickly (means I can use my work computer during breaks :D ).
I REALLY like how you've got the Fleet/Projected section set up, including the outbound/inbound Reps etc... My question/Request would be, could you do that with DPS? Even just paper DPS like not factoring the transversal etc... would be a step in the right direction, though having that factored would be better. I don't know how much effort that would take though, and tbh the program is pretty great as is.
Edit: Also occasionally I get a bug when adding things like implants to exisiting fits, but refreshing the page clears it up. The bug is usually just the stats go away (suddenly 0's) or don't adjust at all. |

Thanks Jubal!
Effective DPS against another loadout is a great idea, however it's so complicated that the only reasonable thing that could be implemented in a reasonable time would be just to look at the target's resistances and apply them to your ammo's damage distribution. For the transversal velocity and signature radius, you can already take it into account by using the DPS graph and entering the values of the target manually.
About the bug, if it happens to you again, please open your Javascript console (F12 then console tab) and see if there's any errors in there, and report them on Github or on IRC if you can. These issues seem to appear randomly, so any steps on how to reproduce would be a big help too!

Hi everyone,
Sorry for the small unexpected downtime that just happened. I installed the certificate on the production machine, and of course things went wrong. It was done kind of in a hurry because SSO-árequires HTTPS.
It should be fine now. Enjoy https://o.smium.org !
(Also, for the nerds, SPDY/3.1 is now also used on HTTPS.) http://o.smium.org/ GÇö v0.12.1 GÇö A browser-based fitting tool and loadout sharing platform |

This is a very fine utiltiy and makes it pretty easy to share fits. My problem in doing so is that as long as you're creating a loadout the URL seems to remain static. You might then change it, say to an entirely different ship. I'd prefer a sort of static "export" where you permalink a fit, or at least hold it for a reasonable period of time. Then a user can export a modified loadout as needed.
Also I think this problem may or may not be tied to me not having an account on your site. If that is the issue, please let me know.
What I like about this utility: Easy link to fits that store inside the EVE client without having to export > import > find > drag and drop Adds entire racks of guns at once Overheats entire rack at once, loads all ammo at once without any strenuous clicks, etc Had gecko for theorycrafting before the (official) release of either EFT or pyfa Shows what skills/modules are affecting attributes in a clean, easy readable way
What I don't like: Smashes as many drones in as it can at once, by default anyway. I think "add maximum to space" should be a context option.
Module search gives very few # of results, and doesn't proceed in a liner fashion. Searching for common named or basic modules means I need to flip faction/deadspace off and then back on. I'm sure there's an easier way to do that. Maybe a "meta" toggle?
Does not, as far as I can see, give the actual capacitor #. This is important in cap warfare and certain really silly PVE fits.
Aforementioned issues with linked fits being modified

Then a user can export a modified loadout as needed. I think I see what you mean. Basically you want permanent URIs that change accordingly when you're creating a loadout. That would be fairly resource-intensive to do, or you'd have to deal with very very long URIs. A compromise (that works for simple loadouts) is to export as DNA, then use a /loadout/new/dna/ URI to share it to other people. Still open to other solutions, if you have any.
Of course it gets simpler if you have an account, you can just save the loadout as hidden, then have permanent links to specific revisions of the loadout which people can then fork as they like.
Loraine Gess wrote:Smashes as many drones in as it can at once, by default anyway. I think "add maximum to space" should be a context option. I believe it's the most appropriate behavior in most cases (most loadouts will use 5 of the same type of drones in space, mixed drones are rarer). You can still add only one drone (and move drones around) via context menu.

Searching for common named or basic modules means I need to flip faction/deadspace off and then back on. I'm sure there's an easier way to do that. Maybe a "meta" toggle? Right. I believe it's more efficient to refine the search query than browsing through lots of results. The code changed quite a bit since, and returning more types isn't really expensive, so I'll bump the number of results that get returned in the next release.
Just in case you don't already know, you can search for types by using abbreviations (like "c-type aif" or "dc2"), so in most cases you'll get the type you want first (and you can even hit Return a second time to add the first result to the loadout). If you're looking for a specific meta level but forgot the name, use @ml, for example "gyro @ml 4" or "lar @ml 14".
Also, the ranking algorithm will be changed in the next release, so searching for something simple like "tengu" will return the ship first and not all the subsystems.

Not quite what I meant on the loadouts, but it sounds like creating an account will give me the desired behavior.
I was not aware on the search parameters. I had encountered some of that behavior when subconsciously typing item abbreviations and such, but I was not aware how it worked. Good to have something to work with.
Good to see on the capacitor.
Last thing I remembered: At one point I added a 6% rate of fire implant to a fit and it seemed to have deleted the ship. The fit itself was there, but the hull type disappeared and thus there were no base stats. I simply re-added the hull and have not encountered the issue since. Not sure what it could have been tied to. |

Not sure what happened there. If you find a way to reproduce the issue, that's great and you should report it! (If it appears randomly, try to check your Javascript console (F12 -> console) and report any errors that may be there.)
You can always refresh the page if you think your browser is acting funky (it won't lose progress on your loadout). http://o.smium.org/ GÇö v0.12.1 GÇö A browser-based fitting tool and loadout sharing platform |

That's not a bug. There are no Claymore loadouts, so the only result is the Claymore type itself. When there is only one result, you get redirected to it, that's what you're seeing. https://o.smium.org/ GÇö v0.13.0 GÇö A browser-based fitting tool and loadout sharing platform |
