3 of them so far I think. Don't remember who, but I remember in one match, I think that was the ONLY ship they lost. The art of war is of vital importance to the State. It is a matter of life and death, a road either to safety or to ruin. Hence it is a subject of inquiry which can on no account be neglected - Sun T |

Anyone care to explain to my why there are so many Bhaalgorn flagships listed? It's a nice ship, but why is it so popular as a flagship? Am I missing something here? -- Quis custodiet ipsos custodes? |

Circle of Two WE FORM VOLTRON Perihelion Alliance
Though not 100% positive it was WFV who lost their ship

Benefits most from the EWAR faction/officer modules. You're looking at super powerful officer neuts hitting 30km, and with officer webs, you're overheating out to a similar range. It also puts out respectable DPS and can fit a resonable buffer tank. Most other flagship options can't take an as full advantage of the flagship bonuses as the Bhaalgorn

Fair enough, but apart from the Webs (which you can also have on other ships), those neuts only hurt cap dependent ships real hard and passive tanking and cap neutral ships aren't that uncommon in the tourney. Still, you're probably right, there aren't that many other ships that are quite as flexible in their application ... -- Quis custodiet ipsos custodes? |

Well, long range webs are not that easy to get by, especially since flagships are the only ships that can field officer/deadspace/faction items in the tournament. A T2 webber on a rapier gets to 30 km range without overload. Even the worse officer webber on the bhaalgorn gets to over 30 kms and up to 40 km for the best officer, always without overload. Also while most minmatar and caldari setups don't need cap for firing (and those are the most used ships in the tournament), there are, almost always, ships that DO need the cap... Be it logistics, tacklers, EW or what have you. I doubt you could field a team completely immune to cap warfare and still capable of winning against an half capable team. Tracking disruptors are worse in that sense, it's quite more probable to encounter a whole missile/drone based team

Decent huginn/rapier pilot has a web range of 40km without overloading or gang mods using T1, Named or T2 webs (all have the same range) admittedly a loki is 25kms with right subsystem and skill to 5 |

hmmm... has anybody taken notice of which flagships have already been fielded and which hhave been destroyed, taking them out of the game? The match reports don't always specifically highlight flagship use, it seems. I'd kind of wonder why many teams decided not to use their flagships in crucial second round matches, where it was win or get kicked out of the tourney...
