i don't think they really suck in the tournament, because torps tend to only hit battleships, and we've seen a lot of t3 and recons in this tournament, also the range issue, I think cruise ravens are a viable choice tbh

Or just don't use Ravens
IMO I would only bring Ravens if I knew 100% my enemy were going to field a Battleship-heavy setup, and they would probably be Siege Ravens with Range rigs with a Huginn to web/tp but IDK. Cruise Raven just seems a waste when a ship like a Nighthawk does pretty much the same thing but 100x better vs smaller ships (see that match where 3x NH and 3x Drake stomped a full Angel lineup? That's how it's done, Cruise Ravens would just DIAF there )
but then what do I know v0v

torps are great if you go in with a setup to complement them, if they didnt work why are bombers doing well. worst still is so many drakes using heavys not HAMs, the HAM drake is realy good can't understand why no teams use them but use the old brick fit.

No range at all, totally inefficient on frigs and nano cruisers... The purpose of bringing missile ships is to be able to shoot at long ranges (and to hit stuffs even when they keep a good transversal). |

no range at all? so 30 40km with javlins is point blank is it. can't hit a fig, well i guess you dont use hams that often, also isnt this a team sport thats why you bring your own frigs to help tackle. and once all the little ships are out of the way load up up some t2 fury and melt BS. But i guess your right and everyone should just stick to the norm, god knows we dont want to think outside the box.

40 km with javelins on a Drake ? Either you're lying, or you're range-rigging it, making its tank pathetic. (I'm not speaking of EFT range, but REAL range)
And let me remind you that a javelin Drake do less dps than a Fury Drake, on virtually any target.
You are the guy who stick to the norm without even using his brain.
How many BSs in AT so far ? How many BSs that wouldn't have CRUSHED any Drake under 20 km ? (Vindi, lasers, torp Raven/Golem/Widow...)
Anyway, a HAM Drake/Rook/Nighthawk is USELESS in lots of situations that happens OFTEN in tournament, whereas a HML one can do pretty consistent damage at ANY range, on ANY target. That's sufficient to make them a lot better.
The only ship that could use HAMs efficiently in tournaments is perhaps the Cerberus, but even then, I'd rather have him fit AML and murder any frigate or drone, instead of doing sub-HML Drake dps at inferior range, only on big targets.
PS : I do think that HAM Drakes are good. For solo BC vs Cruiser/BC/BS situations, that's all. But in that particular situation, HAMs are very good.

p.s. yea ur right its about 32km with javs, dont have eft on this lappy but stil why i said 30-40km

That's because HAMs are not great in tournament, you were wrong about that. No one in his right mind would bring a HAM Drake in the tournament, it just have too many weaknesses against typical tournament setups.
Besides, you assumed every HML Drake was of the "old brick" kind, I think you couldn't be more wrong.
As for Mr Pandemic Legion, I hope you'll get killed by a missile team next week :)
