Haven't flown a Sleip in a while - just come back to the game. It's cap hungry with the XL booster so I've gone Domination for the reduced cap and stuck on some safeguard rigs. I imagine I shouldn't get hit all too often with Barrage and some decent flying outside of web/scram range - medium neut on there for those pesky frigs.
Would you change anything? Rigs? Guns? Tank? This is the best I could come up with but I'm open to suggestions for improvement. I don't mind putting a bit of isk in for mods if they're worth it - but nothing daft like an X-type booster...

i prefer a t2 kin rig and a cap safeguard rig
also i like 5 warrors and 3 ec- drones
ya may wanna drop the nano for a tracking enhancer
and i see why i did the domi boost i guess it could work out but i like the dread my self
dont forget blue pill (in low sec) and crystals
and use a named mwd better fitting less cap use

if your planning on barraging you could upgrade all the guns to 425 mm by downgradeing the booster to a pith b type large, with the rigs suggested its a good compromise between range/boost/performance. Looks quite promising already to me though.
ooh and use navy cap charges (got 400's in mine) to stretch your cap that little bit more

Edited by: Asmodean Reborn on 07/06/2010 18:55:39 Thanks for the input. I can't fit a tracking enhancer without a CPU implant - even if I downgrade stuff. But the Pith B-type large seems to have better rep amount per cap than the Domi x-large while also giving me fitting space for the tracking enhancer AND 425s quite comfortably.
With 2 solidifier rigs and pith large, tank is a little worse than 1 capacitor safeguard, 1 anti-kinetic and the domi x-l. But the cap usage is much nicer - and the fitting.
So...

The only thing i'm worried about now is the tracking on 425s. How will I fare against smaller ships do you think? Even though I plan on being at range - tacklers always creep in :P ú |

Upgrade your true sanshas cap booster to a t2 btw, might give you the cap to get that anti kinetic rig.
425's have a gain in range so good for kiteing, but 220's are roughly the same dps (5 less epr gun or something) and better tracking so using them has benefits too, its a bit too situational to give advice on.
Theres probably situations where both guns would outperform the other

I think the true sansha booster has a shorter cycle time - so more cap/s. Now time to test it out... ú |

Edited by: General Paul on 07/06/2010 19:21:42 shorter cycle but 8m3 less capacity
This means that both you can fit more cap boosters in total, and while true sansha is reloading your t2 is giving you one more boost.
I believe overall you should get more cap from the t2 on balance, although again is situational as with so many other things in eve

But a medium T2 booster only fits more 200s, since booster charges don't come in fractions :)
Due to extortionate price of certain modules, decided on this...
